That is not my personal experience. Yes, if you use a Grubhub promo code, you must use a credit card or Paypal. However, in this case, these are not promo codes, these are gift card codes that will load into your Grubhub account as a Gift Card balance and valid payment method. You can use a promo code with an order and it will take the balance off of your Gift card balance first as the payment method and it there isn't enough of a balance to pay for the entire order, it will take the remainder from a credit card or Paypal.I've had a giftcard balance on my Grubhub account for a long time and never had a problem using a promo code with an order and paying with my gift card balance. Again, that's been my personal experience.

Edited to Add: When checking out, whether you use a promo code or not, on payment method, you have to scroll down on the payment methods and Gift Cards should be listed right under your credit cards. . Just hit "Apply Your Gift Cards".

Less than 36 hours since I ordered and Gamestop has so far sent me a total of 8 separate emails advertising their Black Friday sales. After the first email, I unsubscribed but it says that it will take 2-3 days before it takes effect. How convenient. LOL.

Do you mean how to use when checking out of Grubhub? First, you have to make sure that the gift card was applied to your grubhub account. Just hit "account"on bottom right of app. Then the balance should be displayed under Gift Card. If not, you need to add it by hitting Gift Card and then "Add Gift Card". Now when you order, the final checkout page will display your order details and then scrolling down you will see the payment methods. The credit cards you have saved will be listed first and Gift Cards will be displayed after that with the corresponding amount. Hit the corresponding gift card you want to use and hit "Apply Gift Card Balance" and it will take it off the gift card.

P.S. Today On Grubhub Perks, you should have a perk for a free chicken sandwich from Popeyes with order of $20+ and free delivery (but still service fees) as it appears every Sunday in November. The sandwich combos by me is $10.08 each so I just ordered 2 combos. With tax, service fees, and tip, the 2 sandwich combos for me was just a shade over $18 which I guess is pretty much the same price if I went to the store myself but it's cold outside and don't feel like walking a mile to get it. Yes, I had no problem combining the promo code and paying with the gift card balance.

FYI, this charge is not redeemable for PYB in CSR. It shows up as Shopping category and not as Restaurant. All my previous Grubhub restaurant purchases were redeemable for PYB.

You didn't use the deal right. As you noticed the free combo counts towards the $20. You can add sides/biscuits/larger drink to the combo to max out the discount at $15, making it $15 off $20.

Furthermore, if it's the same as where I am you just got a $5 off reward to use the next time you order from popeyes (happens when you order over $20 in November).

Furthermore those two things will stack so this Sunday you can get $20 off $20.

Furthermore, and this is where the fun starts, both if those count as "rewards" and not promos, and don't use the promo code slot which means you can combine them with any of the other promo codes they hand out quite regularly like $5 or $7 off $15 or the ones they give out as part of their "Grubhub Guarantee" (if any order is delivered after the initially estimated to slot tell them in app and you get at least a $5 off code, no minimum, sometimes more than $5 depending on how late they were.) You CAN use this to cover the tax/fees/tip.

I think the cash star site has been jacked up. I have been trying to pull up my old gift card from the cashstar website for awhile and it keeps giving me 502 bad gateway error. Also just moving extremely slow in other parts.
