Bought Jaws of the Lion when it was on sale recently and haven't opened it yet... I've heard that's an easier entry to this game than the OG Gloomhaven for what that's worth. Smilie

C3 just notified me of this deal. It's the lowest price ever at Amazon, but it has been this price a time or two before as well.
5% back with Amazon prime CC brings it close to $80.
I've heard good things but I haven't actually played the game and at $80 I'm still hesitant to pull the trigger.

Great game that is best played with at least 4 people. You'd be surprised how different each adventure can be from the previous one played.

It's the #1 rated game on board game geeks. We got the $30 standalone expansion (Jaws of the Lion) and loved it- we are thinking of upgrading to this. I suggest anyone unsure to purchase the Jaws of the Lion first.

Has anyone compared using this against the pc steam version? I've played the giant box of fun and it's great but it's also takes a lot of time to organize and setup.

As I understand it, the games are very different. I wouldn't use one as a surrogate for judging how you'll like the other. That being said, GH is a really fun game, requiring strategic thinking, and the unlocking of new characters and missions as part of a board game is fun and well done.
