This is the most under-rated deal this season! Quality, value for the money. All tools brushless. They operate on both 18v, 36v batteries. With 36v battery, one can also use AC adapter, Lifetime warranty on tools (only), 2 year warranty batteries.
Deal even better with Lowe's $100/$10 x 2 gift cards, additional $5 if you open My Lowe's account.
Got one today.

Hitachi changed their name on these tools to Metabo. Good working tools

Note that the angle grinder and recip (which is a one-hander) are not brushless.

Dang... If I didn't already jump on the Milwaukee stuff I prob would have grabbed this. All I really need are a quality circular saw and orbital sander.

although the hammer drill and impact driver are tempting too

In for a set, needed some quality tools

I just got this set two days ago and it's amazing. Doing bathroom remodel. I don't know how to post deals but I got the big boy battery 18/36v that is 8ah on 18v for $169 and you get a tool free. So I got the jigsaw. You could get a router if that's more your speed too. I will say in a pinch the recip saw can t shanks and does just fine as a stand in for a jigsaw as well as just more controlled cutting in general. So $560 and I have 3 batteries, two chargers, and a complete tool bag. Side note the circular saw is amazing. Cuts deeper than a standard 7.25". Can't say enough good about these tools. Lifetime tool no hassle warranty on these too!

Here is the link to the additional deal to get a huge battery and round out the kit. I believe 8ah is one of if not the biggest 18v batteries around. It's got a charge meter too.

In for one of those too, thanks

Looking to get a new kit as my 5 year old drill/driver set from Ridgid is pretty beat up and lost a battery..

Is this a "deal" or is it always $400?

Thanks

Lowe's site says that it is a special buy. (Value $669). It is also in their Black Friday flyer. Even if it is a regular price, it is a deal considering the specs.

My old Hitachi drill that gets abused pretty good as a makeshift light duty impact and it's 2 batteries going strong (stored in 100+ 0 degrees F) I wouldn't hesitate. These seems really light in the hand which you won't think is a big deal but it really is!

I always just resell the tools I don't need on eBay as new, opened box. I'll include a paragraph stating how it was a multiple tool deal and I'm reselling the ones I don't need. Just make sure you're priced right to sell quickly, it's should be priced less than new ones that are sealed, priced higher than used ones and refurbished. Oh yeah I'll include a copy of my receipt too, with the tool shipped in case they need warranty repairs. Mention this in your listing, most other sellers don't do this so it should help with the sale. Of the 5-6 times I've done this, never had any issues, gotten positive feedback as well. In most cases it increases your savings on the deal you initially bought, since you're selling nearly the price of a tool by itself. Would do these all day long if I had the time. There's people that buy these multiple tool deals, resell them individually for some profit.

This promo was priced at $349 prior to Black Friday. More than half are Brushless tools. Its not bad deal but would wait for the clearance deal.

After eBay fees, taxes, shipping fees, I doubt one could make any sizeable profit that would be worth the time, esp off this deal. But selling tools you don't need or want is always good idea

Been staring at this deal for a few days... The only thing stopping me is that I can't seem to find any other tools (yard equipment) in the metabo brand... Would like to invest in a single ecosystem of batteries. Also, am I actually going to use the hammer drill?

Thanks for great and persuasive info and experience. I'm definitely thinking about grabbing this 7 piece tool set (even though the torch light is useless). My only question to you was about you statement for the warranty. Your stated lifetime tool no hassle warranty, but when I check the Lowe's page for the set, it shows 1 year limited warranty and 2 year battery warranty in the specifications area. Am I missing something? Appreciate your response.

That $349 was/is for the 5 piece set that is a different tool set.

Appreciate that... Do you think the 5 piece or 7 piece is a better set/deal? Sorry ended up being 2 questions
