Bought this 11/10, Got a price adjustment. Thank you.

This TV is good for the price. If you're handy with android and tinkering, I would enable dev mode and debloat this thing.

Check out XDA or other resource for more

For mine, I did
- Disable animation speeds
- Debloat
- Change and replaced the ad filled launcher with mlauncher.
- Remap home button with Button Mapper

The results are silky smooth expience.

As for the hardware, the stands can be installed in 2 positions - one is closer to the edge and the other is closer to the center. The stands look tiny and extremely wide.

I wish the U8G would also drop a bit.

That's stupid. The top end TVs of those brands are great, but the ones this competes with in price and size are inferior to it in every way.

If you are getting a Hisense, you should be willing to play the panel lottery.
Yes I couldn't win the lottery with the 2nd exchanged 75" and ended up getting a Samsung.

What is panel lottery? Can you please explain? Also what is issue with your tv that returned? Appreciate your inputs. Thanks

Just defects on the TV screen, when I watched static content like news, sitcoms the screen displayed that perfect but sports or shows with a lot panning (up or down, left & right) you would see a bunch of dirty horizonal lines in the lower half of screen in a grid for a couple seconds. Way too distracting to watch action movies or certain sports. The first one had it really bad and second one was better but still had the same issue. I do have a 50" U6G with a perfect panel though.

Technical term is called panel uniformity: https://www.rtings.com/tv/tests/p...effect-dse

How about Upsie warranty? I read many positive reviews - more coverage and hassle free claiming for easy solutions. Any advises please?

You received a blow- off my dude. I've dealt with CS agents to know excuses they use due to them not supposed to say no, but also not supposed to say sure, I will open my pocket, just have a reach in there and see what you find. I can almost guarantee you will have to follow up, but kudos on getting something in writing. They are hoping some people will just forget about the price adjustment/one-time courtesy.
It just came in the front door and she called me and did a $55 adjustment in the form of a credit to my Amazon account.

I got the 65 just before the drop from $699 to $649 from Costco, so a slightly different TV (U6GR) that supports variable refresh rate but we're blown away by the quality, brightness, reflection handling, and viewing angles in our game room.

Got a lower end (75 A6G) one for my living room and have regretted it ever since. Panel uniformity is meh, black levels are crap, and it's not bright enough for us. Can't justify another TV right now to replace a perfectly functional one but seeing the U6G in my game room has definitely put the issues of the living room tv in my wife's consciousness.

I can't use our upstairs OLED as comparison because she knows those are "expensive" TVs and the U6G was a "cheap" TV that's in another class compared to the other (A6G) "cheap" TV.

In short. Spend the money and get the U6G. If you get a funky panel, swap it out for another. If you can, get the Costco one as it's better for gaming.

Our tailgate group has a TCL 5-series for tailgating and viewing angles on the TCL are terrible compared to the Hisense U6GR. The Hisense was out of our tailgate budget when the purchase was made in August.

I was kind of skeptical buying a hisense as well but I am super happy with the one I got. I'm no hardcore TV guy but after I set it up to the recommendation settings on RTings the picture is amazing. Absolutely crushes my previous Vizio 70 inch that took a dump after only 5 years (Never will buy them again!)
Where did you find the recommended settings?

Thanks for sharing. I initially thought about getting the A6G instead, but decided not to after reading the words people wrote in their reviews on BB about black levels, light bleed, etc. The reviews are interesting, because most people gave the A6G a high number rating, but then many talked about shortcomings.

I think you meant to write "U6G". You might want to edit. Smilie
