The fine print reads:

The first month's $10 Award will be added to the Primary Membership account after enrollment and must be used within thirty (30) days from the date of Membership enrollment. The following $10 Awards per month for months two through six will be added to the Primary Membership account at the beginning of each month and will expire at the end of each month in which they are issued.

So it sounds like you have $10 to spend in that specific month.

between BJs and Costco, Costco tends to have slightly better pricing and variety for items I get, but BJs does still have things I want that Costco lacks. So I keep it, even though it's a little overkill. For the guy asking if it's worth having Costco, BJs AND Sam's... now that seems overkill lol. But Sam's does have a really good e-commerce selection that I envy sometimes.

What happens if you are a family member on someone elses account? Is that considered being an existing customer? Also, I am extremely doubtful that the $10 credit will be useable towards gas. Still a good deal if you can get it, I don't shop there that often (its not really close to me) but I would certainly be able to get there once a month...lol.

Costco has top notch own brand products :Kirkland.
