Very Low price for someone who wants to get into primes. I have always used zoom lenses so this would be a good foray into 35mm primes for cheap.

First post, please dont bash me if I didn't do something right.

Picked this up for the last lowest price of $329. Nice cheap prime on my A7iii and takes decent pictures. AF is sufficient but isn't as solid as my native 24-105. Great price to grab a 35mm prime.

Dammit. Got the 85 1.4 earlier for $375 pretax and this is $242 pretax on Amazon shipped from Amazon right now. Will have to decide which focal length is better or if I get a bad copy!

Many think Rokinon/Samyang are low quality or knockoff bcz they're cheap! But trust me, you'll freak out when you see how sharp the images are ! It's unbelievable and their colors are also very live and true to life! I can't believe a company produces such lenses for so cheap

FYI this a full frame 35mm lens. So it would be 52mm focal length on your a6600

Around a 24mm will get you that field of view (fov)

Is it that you know you want a full frame 35mm field of view or did you get confused and are actually wanting a 35mm lens for your a6600? 35mm on the a66000 will be close to the popular 50mm (on full frame) "standard" focal length after adjusting for the crop factor on a smaller sensor. If you like 35mm on the 16-50mm kit lens on the a6600 this will be the same as that.

The closest prime lenses to a full frame 35mm fov on an APS-C camera body would be either 20mm or 24, providing a somewhat wide fov. Most of those lenses are f/2.8 though.

From what little I've read 35mm is good for portraits and such, so thats what I was aiming for.

35mm f/1.8 on an APS-C camera body is a good general purpose lens including for portraits. Most consider a longer focal length preferable for portraits, but the longer focal lengths can be limiting for other purposes. Often too tight unless you have a lot of room to back up. So 35mm f/1.8 is likely what you want it you want portraits with blurred background but also to keep the lens on the camera for other usage.
