Better than GeForce 3060 Ti, Radeon 6700XT is a solid competitor to 3070, and in game performance sometimes outpace 3070, see below.

I bought in 2019 a desktop with 2080 Ti from this vendor with solid performance. Never had any issue and still goes strong. Chat with sales is available on their website during work hour, I also called them once in 2019 and had the impression they cared about their customers so I recommend this vendor from my limited experience. Their BF deal this year is disappointing to me in general, but I found this one may make sense for someone who looks for value and has a hard $1500 budget. Combined with other cashbacks may bring the price even sweeter.

Used 6700 XT goes for about $800 on fleabay. You can expect to see a hashrate of around 40MH/s (a RTX 3060 Ti LHR card was tested in the real world with the new NBMiner update, and this card was also able to hit 40.5MH/s. A 35% improvement over the 3060 Ti LHR's standard hashrate of 30MH/s, and used prices around the same as the 6700 XT).

Which between these 2 cards would you prefer?

Rest of the parts worth $700?
Not a miner, I am not sure about the hashrate. I believe your point. I am only comparing to available gaming PCs/workfromhome desktops. For those users, they probably don't have time to build on their own. I think this machine for $1500 can deliver similar to some of other $1700 or $1800 PCs. However, you are more experienced with mining so I won't argue if this card doesn't fit for mining.

Other than the MB being listed as a B550, there is no information about it on the website -- not even a photo of the back of the box. How many USB ports? What type of audio? SATA connectors?

No information? Not interested.

Regardless of the stupid mining. The rest of the parts are basically worth 700. I got a skytech, much higher model, and as the long haired reviewie guy has famously stated. It didn't totally suck.

You could make a small case for the 5600x devaluing in the past few weeks but that would be a weak one.

Cool, and I'm just letting you know that no one cares about the dumb mining thing, unless of course you're talking about it wiping out GPU supply or about it's immense environmental impact at a time when we absolutely need to be conserving resources rather than shredding through them.
Partly agree, but unfortunately a lot of people ONLY care about the mining potential of any desktop w just about any GPU these days, whether it's stupid or not 75% of the value of most desktops these days is wrapped up in inflated GPU prices. So is the world we live in (hopefully not for long) whether you like it or not.

And here's my take on this deal. It's weak. The Alienware r12 w the 3060ti for $1372 is better than this deal. I went with that one.

It is so not.

The parts in an Alienware r12 are proprietary so have diminished resale value. (yes mem, cpu, drive are fungible but everything else is basically waste outside their ecosystem)

Skytech Gaming uses off the shelf retail parts that allow reuse if you were so inclined to do so.

I would also say the majority of people care about gaming. Miners are a fringe group so you should evaluate any deal with that in mind.

Good point re: proprietary components. And it would almost be sad to resell an Alienware PC without a GPU lol.

I ordered the recent 6900 XT for $1500. A hard pill to swallow, and undecided whether this deal is the way to go instead or go with the Legion w the 3070 or that Alienware.

Lame you have to spend 800 to get marginally better hashing than an ancient 200 dollar rx580 Frown

6700 XT is between 3060TI and 3070, without DLSS, Ray Tracing and Nvidia's superior encoding capabilities for VR.

The Lenovo 3070 for $1500 plus 12% CB that just came out is better than this in every way.

I personally would take a 3060TI over 6700XT just for Nvidia compatibility alone.

If it is indeed 75% of the value, I'm interested in buying one to mine. What's the payback time of 75%? If it's 3-5 years I'm in. Everything in my electronics arsenal is pushing 5+ years and none of them pay me back 75% of their initial value

where ???

Edit: If you were referring to the Laptop you are solely mistaken. Don't get me wrong that's a great deal but the 3700 in there is much less than a desktop RTX 3700 (5888 vs 5120 CUDA cores) and that's way before you get into the power envelopes. The desktop 6700xt in this computer would be at least 20% faster.
