These coats are incredibly warm (not to mention made to last years or decade +); great this time of year for those of us who reside in the northeast and now experiencing near or below freezing temperatures - IMO notably warmer than similar styled coats made of fabrics/synthetics.
The commentary here is hilarious - a person can spend several hundred dollars on a "non-glitzy" LL Bean goose down comforter and you wouldn't bat an eye - but "oh it's Canada Goose" . Yet the purchaser is buying for the same reason.
I was in NYC and everyone was wearing this brand ...
I had to look it up, and was blown away by the price.
So funny to hear people say they wear this brand for it's superior warmth...
MUST be because of all the Arctic weather they get there ...lol
I'm sure it's just the trust funds instilling all that common sense in people!
It is refreshing to know there are so many people frankly offended by this brand.
And disturbing to know there are as many defending the "warmth" and "durability"...
No one wears a winter coat for more than a few years at best, especially when trying to fit in with the debutantes.
Stop lying to yourself and admit you've just got ALL the $ and the poor plebs will have to freeze...
So... Canada Goose is actually Canada Coyote? Or are they even from Canada? Could it be Malaysia Coyote?
The coyote fur is used on the hood…goose down for coat insulation. Coyotes are everywhere and they're only classified as coyotes…Canadian geese actually don't exist.
Definitely. Iowa passed a law that animal farms and meat processing plants can't can't recorded for a reason. Not because they don't want to see their animal kindness all over the news.
The chicken farm I worked at as a teenager supplied chicken for major brands, ones that I'm sure have some nice animal rights mumbo jumbo on their packaging... it was a huge farm... we had to transfer chickens from the cages they lived in, to the ones for transport... they'd tell us to put 13 chickens into a cage that would hold maybe 10. You'd be forced to literally jam the chickens into the cages with as much force as you can to get them to fit. They don't care if bones are broken, chickens are smashed, long as you get them in the cages...
Not to mention they live in 4 or 5 rows of cages, one on top of the next... if you're in the bottom row, your entire life is getting shit and pissed on by 4 other rows of hundreds of chickens. We'd find green rotten dead chickens in the cages, ones that were torn up from other chickens and still alive... that place is nightmare fuel.
Working at a Tyson pork processor wasn't any better... seem some terrible stuff there as well.
Glad I seen it in some ways because it opened my eyes to the animal cruelty in farming/meat production. After seeing that first hand I don't believe any pledge against animal cruelty from brands like this...
That's genuinely bad and I've seen the Netflix/Amazon documentaries on this.
I'm still eating Chick Fil A.

These are the type of coats you buy for life, not for a fashion season.

Right. I would never pay for 50% Canada Goose jacket since I know it's unreal
