I know everyone hates on the Fire HD tablets, but for $20, these are a no-brainer for simple use. They're not for gaming or multitasking at all, but for watching a movie or using Alexa or controlling lights/etc they're perfectly serviceable.
There's a SD slot but if you wanted the 32GB instead of 16GB, it's $27.
Quad-Core: 1.3 GHz, with 1.5 GB of RAM (same as the 8th gen)
edit: use XDA Fire Toolbox to remove ads to speed it up

yes. its very simple. trade in these and buy a echo show for a discount.
I installed play store and everything slowed down, I dont recommend
just turn on show mode. swipe down from the top and toggle it, or, just say "echo, turn on show mode"
ps. seems like the same CPU as all 3 gen shows:

pps. you'll want to use bluetooth speakers for music if that's your goal -- the show sounds much better, but this wins on versatility
Mailed mine in on Wednesday with ups drop-off, have not heard back yet on credit or coupon so I am guessing at least a few days at minimum.

I would like to use it with Konnected.io with ActionTile
The oldest tablet is an HP Touchpad which might be 10 years old. I started using it as a clock when the digitizer went wonky.
