First time posting :3

Probably the best PC deal so far I was able to find. Was able to get it for $1016.99, but my account was baned somehow, price is 50$ higher, but still the best. Try to check oftenly if 50$ matters, maybe you will catch the better deal on same gear.

In short you are getting decent PC with 3060ti, which is argubally almost same as 1080ti for gaming. Probably there is still some space for upgrade in future. For me i5 and ssd is more then enough to start with, especially with 3060ti. Card is LHR probably, not planning to mine or something.

Do yourself a favor and spend $720-900 on the 3060 deal or $1200-1300 on the 5600x/3060ti 30L OMEN deal. Skip this.

this is the best deal I've seen here regarding gpus, so of course slickdealers don't agree.

the 3060 ti is substantially better than the 3060, only marginally slower than a 3070. This is the best bang for the buck you are going to find assuming you can resell the other parts or need them for your build.

Not sure about this system but I ordered an HP beginning of this Nov and it also comes with 8gb of ram as 2 sticks of 4gb and the motherboard only has 2 ram slots. This means to go to 16gb I have to buy 2 x 8gb sticks instead of just 1 x 8gb. Just might be worth paying HP $100 to get the 16gb already installed. Just a suggestion you look closely at the config you are getting before you are buying.

That's right, but what I am saying is that even if you purchase 2 x 8gb separately that's going to cost $70 < $100. Of course if someone does not want to like the idea of throw away the original 2 x 4gb sticks they can totally pay that $30 extra.

(I assume you talk about 1/2 sticks because you are trying to say one can just get an additional 8gb stick even it came as a single 8gb stick. However I heard that even if that's the case, you might want to buy two memory sticks from the same model of the same manufacturer, even the same production batch or something.)

HP is a worse build overall. With the Dell XPS (and G6 Gaming) You'll get 2 extra RAM slots, and extra PCIe slot (either x1 or x4, can't remember), better PSU (500W should be Platinum in the XPS unless they changed their specs), built in dvd or blu ray drive, better WiFi/BT card. The newer XPS aren't known for their cooling abilities, though the 8940 is better than the 8910/8930. This HP honestly doesn't look like its built to move much air, though I haven't really looked into forum complaints about it.

It has 4 USB 3.0 in the front because that's where most people plug wireless dongles and USB drives in. The 4 USB 2.0 are on the back, where you plug in connections that don't benefit as much from 3.0 like a USB keyboard, speakers/headphones, etc.

Almost all modern motherboards have some combination of USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports/headers.
