I would be sure to check the gift card balance right after purchasing these. I bought some gift cards on black friday at Dollar General and they were not activated. I found it strange that their registers let them charge for the gift card and take your money, with it not being activated. I was lucky and found this out shortly after purchasing and the store refunded my money, but while I was in there 2 phone calls came through to the store with the same issue. One person gave the card as a gift and when the recipient went to redeem it there was no balance. The store told her she needed a receipt to get any refund but she said she didn't have it so she was out of luck. So just a warning to check on the balances right away.

Can you buy a GameStop gift card and then use that gift card to buy a premium annual gift card for Spotify from GameStop?

Double check with gamestop but they let their gift cards roll into other gift cards. I've used it to get psn and eshop, so I can't imagine they wouldn't allow it for others.

isn't everything in Dollar store increased to $1.25 due to out of control inflation?
This is Dollar General, not Dollar Tree.

There was a Sam's Club in-store deal earlier this year, but yeah, not much. I've been looking, as well.

After you purchase you should see the PoS run through all of the activations for your card. At least mine did for the 8-10 GCs, and no issues with balances, so far.

I bought a year's Spotify gift card for myself a couple of weeks ago when Best Buy had it on their deal of the day.

Turns out I couldn't use it on my account as-is because I had a grandfathered account with premium + hulu access. I had to downgrade to plain-old-premium and lose hulu in order to use the gift card. So, just be aware.

I had this same exact problem after I bought a Spotify GC w/ one of the Amex pay w/ points promos on Amazon...

Hulu is running a 99 cent per month for a year promo for the ad-supported plan which is what I had and assume you have... So I canceled that old Spotify+Hulu plan, signed up for the 99 cent Hulu plan, and redeemed my Spotify gift card.

I'll be done with Spotify after the gift card runs out as I don't get a lot of mileage out of it anyway and there were some ridiculous hoops to jump through - I don't understand why their giftcards aren't just redeemable for the face value. Spotify customer service actually recommended I give the gift card away to someone else. What a joke.

My area GS stores have discontinued that option completely, as of maybe 3 plus years ago, IIRC. Contact your GS first. The other poster who tried to answer you did not specify when they last were able to do it. They also advised you to check in advance.

Anyone knows if playstation gift card expires at all? Do I need to redeem asap just to be safe and the fund should be in my account for years until I spend it?

BestBuy has Spotify 1yr. for $99 which is ok. I think the normal rate for a year is $120? If so, then the BestBuy route would be slightly better. I just bought one at BestBuy and applied it to my standard sub (I don't have Hulu or Family plan) and it extended my subscription without issue.

Haven't thought of annual subscription. I actually have some bestbuy GC I've had for a while. Will look into it. Thanks!
