Note you have to use the google home app for this cam. The old nest app/service isn't compatible

Where the heck are the sales for the old ones? Are those completely gone? I refuse to use these new ones and not be able to use the nest app. Not until they at least add all nest functionality to google home app.

It's crazy really. All the old ones are now selling at a premium not a discount for a discontinued product. Should tell google how people feel about the direction they are heading with the nest brand, not that they care

I'm in the ring ecosystem and this deal made me check for ring deals. You can get indoor ring cameras for $44 right now. I just ordered 2

Amazon. Ring.com, Home Depot and Best Buy all matched the $44 price. Best buy had the fastest shopping for me, the others were backordered.

But is it a bad idea to buy old version anyways? I am torn. I have doorbell and smoke detectors and camera indoor snd outdoor. Wondering if I should buy ring and just use both apps

Google seems to have a reputation for fixing things that ain't broken. Google Play Music, Nest, etc etc. I was going to leave my cameras for the next buyer of my home but now I have second thoughts about taking them with me.

I regret buying this new one. I wouldn't mind having two apps, but the new one sucks. Knowing what I know now, I would have never bought this camera.

What 2 apps are you referring to? I have the older version and use the Nest app only.

This new camera won't integrate into your nest app. You need to use google home, which has virtually no useful features whatsoever. You can't even scroll through the continuous recording you pay for. It's shockingly bad.
