Of course, I just redeemed all of my points for $575 worth of Apple gift cards. I could've redeemed for $600 tomorrow. ThankYou to Citi for making me feel like an ungrateful Scrooge over wanting to complain that I didn't get enough "free money". 😒
You win some, you lose some. There were definitely posts on that other thread saying that there might be a better deal on Cyber Monday but of course there was the risk that it might not come up as well.
You guys didn't see the "wait for 20% deal on Cyber Monday" posts in the other thread? It happened the exact same way last year.

Mind sharing what you got for those $650 Apple GC last year and $200 Apple GC this year? I converted quite a lot last year to Apple GC, still have no good use of it.
Last year I flipped big HomePods and iPad
Minis… they pulled both of those items from the promo this year…(plus they disco the big HomePods) apple also screwed up last year and ended up throwing $200 extra at me to fix their blunder…

I won't say what I did this year but there's only so many options and I spent half what I did last year at least so far... I'm leaning towards not cashing in for apple gc today.. sitting on that much credit isn't fun (esp in 100 codes that could go poof) and selling at retail or less just to convert albeit at almost double the "cash" rate is a tough game when you're now competing with Adorama and aggressive retailers.. people want stuff for LESS then those prices..

Does anyone use Citi ThankYou for travel or to transfer points to a travel partner? I used it once to transfer points to Turkish miles, which (at the time) could be used to book cheap award travel to Hawaii, but haven't used it since.

this is a good deal. Snagged a couple Apple and Michael's $100 GC's!

Anyone else converted cash back to points and not showing immediately? I converted from my Citi Double Cash and the points are not showing.

To sweeten this deal you can stack this with the apple gc event that ends today..

https://slickdeals.net/f/15426691-apple-black-friday-cyber-monday-shopping-event?page=20

I converted 225k last year to $2700… then spent 1700 but got 650 in gc from apple and rolled around to this year with 1650… spent 900 so far and got $200 from apple and still have 950 in gc…I've got 245k in ty points now and don't know if I want to take the plunge again.. lol…

FYI sears was added but only 5% off as of now…plus theres not a sears in 50 miles near me anymore
Does this work on the EDU site?

I have some Apple gift cards and want to get more because I'm thinking about using them during the next back to school event for a Macbook Air when they have a similar deal like the $899 MBA + free airpods. Will my gift cards work for that?

is it worth it to convert my cash rewards to thank you points? $1 = 100 thank you points
I assume you have a Double Cash card and if so, NO, more than likely it is NOT worth it. I converted some last year when Amazon had a get $10 off when you use Thank You points. Sounded like a good deal and they do that $1 = 100 points conversion thing and it sounds good right up until you find that, when you spend Thank You points at a merchant that 100 points are NOT worth $1 at the merchant. With some holiday incentives, if you are lucky, you might break even but, honestly, you're much better off just cashing out the money as is and using it to buy what you want because almost always $40 worth of cash rewards traded for points does not net you anywhere near $40 worth of points at a merchant.

I was mad I forgot all about the Black Friday 15% deal, but then glad I did when I saw the 20% Cyber Monday deal!

I don't even usually use this card, but they sent me a "5% back on ALL online purchases Sept-Dec 2021" and I've build up 2,900 points by using it online (and their "rounding up" bonus helped too), so I was able to get a $25 Apple and $10 IHOP for what I thought would be only 2,800 points instead of the regular 3,500 points.

I forgot about the 10% in points back thing they add, so I got another 280 points returned. Therefore the $35 in gift cards only took 2,520 points!

The gift card will work next bts if that's what u r asking... If you're asking if you can stack the apple gc back with purchase promo that ends today with the edu discount they answer is no..

I am having the same issue. I thought I broke something when I tried combining my accounts first. I don't think I'll be able to get this deal because it has been a couple hours and I still haven't received my points Frown

I called Citi, I was told it will take 2 business days for the points to show up! What a waste since by then the sale is done.

Yeah that's what they told me too. Sucks because my other family members were able to get their points instantly. I think it might be because I tried to convert a buttload of my cash back balance to points. I guess I will be waiting until next year....
