Manufacturer and shipper from Thailand. No free shipping. Code applies on non branded frames and lenses. Great for a set of backup frames.
I'm a new customer and ordered from them on 11/3 with USPS Priority shipping. Received an update on 11/19 stating that my order had been sent to their Drop Shipment facility. Still haven't received my glasses. Not sure if that is standard practice or not but something to keep in mind.
Anyone with high prescription over -12 been able to find lenses here or do they only go that high? I know some sites only offer for certain frames and I don't see an option to sort by prescription to avoid trying it on 50 different frames
The special also applies to their high prescription lenses. Have purchased from them before. The lenses were fine but the wire frame I selected was a little flimsy for the weight of the lens. Would suggest a plastic frame. The frame definitely would not have been allowed to go with that lens a regular optical. Would order from them again.
I've bought about 10 pairs from Zenni over the years (using the same prescription from 2011😄). Never bought from Goggles' before, but I took a chance on some rimless glasses for only $13 shipped.
We'd love some feedback and comparisons of both companies. I have been a 15+ year Zenni customer but their prices have risen and their pricing is less transparent.
Our production dept has notified us that unfortunately, they are unable to fulfill your order due to strong prescription values therefore your order is canceled and the refund is forwarded to our billing dept which will be processed within the next 2-3 working days.
goggles4u seems to not have a limiter on frame selection for stronger prescriptions weirdly enough; so your lenses may end up way too heavy for your frames
Goggles4u is probably the best black friday deal I've seen this year. Bought 3 pairs as backups.
I've been using them for years, decent quality eyeglasses for cheap, good styles, and great lenses.
Note: Do always add the UV pro, anti-reflect, the $6.95 option, idk about the hydrophobic layer, that stuff seems to come off pretty easily imo. I dont think its worth it for the thinner lenses as I've always just use the thicker lenses and they seem fine, might be worth it for some people. For tint, get the solid tint option, I choose black most of the time, I have a couple brown, red and blue ones though. They all look pretty good.
At lenscrafters, I've had to pay $300 for one pair, I buy about 3-5 pairs a year here so I always have some backups as I do go through 1-3 pairs a year and to be able to switch out sunglasses for the occasion is nice too.
Any issue with lens coatings flaking / peeling after less than a year? Read several issues that warned of terrible coating quality

Yeah, that's why I usually just get the basic $6.95 coating, that one seems to last the best. the hydrophobic one doesn't last, but ime most coatings even when done at lenscrafters or other places never lasted more than a year for me as I work in intense environments and I need to constantly wash my glasses sometimes and that's what usually breaks the coating

Yeah, never bought zenni because of the prices, been using goggles4u for the past 10 years 8 or so orders with about 10-15 pairs.

Yeah, I just got used to it eventually, I have about 7.5 so my lenses are pretty thick, but I just got used to it eventually. People are always surprised as to why I wear them so thick. But ngl, they've protected me once or twice already and I think its due to the thickness, so I'd keep them like that.
How long will it take to get orders delivered after placing the order? 2 weeks or more?
more like 4-6 weeks i think. its been like 3 weeks since i ordered mine and nothing, and I imagine all these black friday prices and stuff has them way busy.
its not a scam or anything, thousands of people on sd have ordered for them and most seem relatively happy although the lenses are a bit on the cheapie side and the protection film isn't amazing and I wouldn't expect these glasses to last 10 years or anything but they do get them made and ship them out, but it'll take 2-3 times longer than what you think.
