Seriously, what did you expect, it was a one day sale and it sold out. It happens. I have missed out on countless deals here by being late to the game. Not a big deal. Get over yourselves and move onto the next deal instead of acting immature by complaining or being butt hurt because they won't bend over backwards for you.
Which is the best of the free phones?
Not only will they be locked to T-Mobile, but don't be surprised by the fact that budget phones like these slice and dice which bands they support based upon the operator which sold them. In other words, this is not the same phone as similarly named model from Verizon, and would have different capacity to support functionality on networks outside of T-Mobile (they're all probably 100% fine enough for AT&T).

Presumably the only reason the LG is on this list is because they've abandoned the Android market. Otherwise, it does not belong in the category of free phone and will surely go out of stock VERY quickly after this deal goes live. The other freebie Samsung phones are somewhere between cruel jokes and OK as a dummy device to run your remote control app.

Good luck!

For being free, it's kind of expensive, LOL. 3 new phones cost me about $150 out of pocket just for the sales tax and shipping. I think I'll stop here.

I could order 2. 1st order was through mobile internet explorer, and 2nd was though t-mobile app. It looks like you can only do AT MOST one in each browser. As the firefox and chrome don't let me to order.

Thanks OP!

I was able to order 4!

2 of my lines with 1 EIP each weren't able to get past the "JUMP!" trade-in page; however.

What's everybody going to do with their extra phones? Sell 'em? Does anyone have some neat use-cases?

Those that were able to proceed with the free phone. Can show proof that you were able to. I been trying and nothing. The only way is by adding a new line. Which I don't need. Just need to upgrade the phones. Thanks in advance.

trick is to either do it from your phone, or do it in mobile view.

Similar problem; it doesn't like my ONE Plan Unlimited 55+ ($50/month) and instead I have to add a line and switch to Magenta 55+ ($70/month for two lines. Not very convinced it's worth it to me.
Which phone are you trying to order? I am on a 55+ plan and got the LG VELVET.

I have only 2 left. All 6 lines were upgrade with iPhone 12.
i have 8 lines, 5 of them are free

i think i misunderstood your question, i dont know if you can upgrade from those lines that already have uncompleted EIP's

I used the app instead of browser and it worked fine. Good luck and hope you get your order in.
Tried the app and same results. Since my plan is no longer offered it wants me to add a new line which means the $70/month Magenta 55+.

I have but doesn't work either way. Unless I Add a line. Which I do not need. It advised me that $20 monthly will be for the line and that way it also takes away the shipping charge?

Thanks, OP. I was able to get one LG (different colors) on each of my two lines. I did have to go through the "upgrade my device" option as well.

ETA: I went through the app. I got an error message initially on each attempt but eventually got through.

Got one into cart and it hates my One plan. If I want it, they demand converting my entire plan on the spot.
I've got it! Same for mobile app and desktop. No need to switch browsers.

1. LOG OUT
2. shop logged out until it forces you to log in and pick which line you are upgrading the device on.

If you start logged in (for ONE plan at least), it won't show you the device/line upgrade option. It will only bitch about your entire plan, and try to trick/upgrade you into Magenta/whatever. If you see this, close out, start over, LOG OUT, then try again.

I don't think it matters what device or browser you use. I was able to do all my orders from my same Desktop browser, though each order was in it's own tab.

Choose Upgrade a Line. The next screen asks you to choose which Line/Device is eligible to be upgraded. Once you pick the Line/Device in your account that is eligible for an upgrade, it'll take you to a screen talking about trade in value. The important part here is to either choose Skip Trade In, or choose Trade In Another Device and on the next screen click the Skip Trade In (small text link). Then it should go to the first step of finalizing your order and show you the full $400 promotional credit for LG Velvet device.
