Seriously, what did you expect, it was a one day sale and it sold out. It happens. I have missed out on countless deals here by being late to the game. Not a big deal. Get over yourselves and move onto the next deal instead of acting immature by complaining or being butt hurt because they won't bend over backwards for you.
Which is the best of the free phones?
Not only will they be locked to T-Mobile, but don't be surprised by the fact that budget phones like these slice and dice which bands they support based upon the operator which sold them. In other words, this is not the same phone as similarly named model from Verizon, and would have different capacity to support functionality on networks outside of T-Mobile (they're all probably 100% fine enough for AT&T).

Presumably the only reason the LG is on this list is because they've abandoned the Android market. Otherwise, it does not belong in the category of free phone and will surely go out of stock VERY quickly after this deal goes live. The other freebie Samsung phones are somewhere between cruel jokes and OK as a dummy device to run your remote control app.

Good luck!

Thanks for that. I was on mobile and that part was collapsed so I didn't see. Oddly enough, when I called Tmo to cancel the LG order so that I wouldn't lose my bill credits on my current line, the person said there'd be no issues having two bill credits on the same line. I told him about the page found in the wiki stating you could only have one per line and he said he didn't see that on the current promo fine prints. I asked if there was a higher up that he could get confirmation from but he said they won't be in for another couple hours so I guess I'll try calling back. Hopefully I'll be able to cancel the LG in time so that I don't lose bill credits on my main line.

While LG Velvet seems to be decent, you must remember that this promo will trap you for another 24 (or 30) months of paying for crappy TM service.

As covid threat gets lower and I can go back to traveling, in the past few months I notice TM service gets even worse now than prior to covid.

Well, YMMV, your needs may be different.

Good luck for those who want these. For me, I plan to switch soon.
New CEO = worse headache
Good point. However, depends on each individual's situation. I was already "trapped" for another 19 months of bill credits from prior iPhone deals. So another 5 months is not a big deal. Plus the amount of money already made from Costco BYOD lines, flipping upgraded devices, savings due to grandfathered plan discounts, etc., has me already ahead of the game.

I don't travel anymore since Covid, and live in an area with good T-Mobile service. Also, I plan on doing the Costco BYOD deal this week for yet another $600 score of Costco Cash Cards. So it is tough leaving T-Mobile when they keep floating money-makers my way. LOL.

Many of us have 2 bill credits on a single line. In fact, I have 9 lines and two of those lines have double bill credits from prior deals. YMMV.

Oh wow! Thanks for letting me know. I know its YMMV but hearing this has helped ease my nerves a bit. I really didn't want to lose the bill credit on my Samsung and be on the hook for a much more expensive phone because I goofed and jumped the gun on a cheapy free phone.

No need to call about this. The rule is 1 active eip per line. But they dont enforce this policy. I have 2 active eips on 9 of my lines. No issue so far. You will get diff answer each time you call about this.

I've never done this before. So if I already have a phone, and I'm getting the lg velvelt, I choose upgrade line, correct?
