Seriously, what did you expect, it was a one day sale and it sold out. It happens. I have missed out on countless deals here by being late to the game. Not a big deal. Get over yourselves and move onto the next deal instead of acting immature by complaining or being butt hurt because they won't bend over backwards for you.
Which is the best of the free phones?
Not only will they be locked to T-Mobile, but don't be surprised by the fact that budget phones like these slice and dice which bands they support based upon the operator which sold them. In other words, this is not the same phone as similarly named model from Verizon, and would have different capacity to support functionality on networks outside of T-Mobile (they're all probably 100% fine enough for AT&T).

Presumably the only reason the LG is on this list is because they've abandoned the Android market. Otherwise, it does not belong in the category of free phone and will surely go out of stock VERY quickly after this deal goes live. The other freebie Samsung phones are somewhere between cruel jokes and OK as a dummy device to run your remote control app.

Good luck!

It's standard. You are buying and financing the $400 phone. If you go back a screen or two under "Order details" and "Let's review your order before submitting", it should you "Your $400 promotional credit will be applied as follows:" and "You'll save $400 with this promotion!". Take a screen capture of that for proof of the promotion and to make sure you are getting the promotion.
that the problem: Order page (web browser on pc or phone app) NEVER shows: "it should you "Your $400 promotional credit will be applied as follows:" and "You'll save $400 with this promotion!".

No personal experience but apparent T-Mobile locked phones do work on Mint mobile:

https://www.reddit.com/r/mintmobi...nt_mobile/

You will not be able to unlock the phone after 40 days unless you pay off the remains of the $400 phone balance. If you do this, you will still receive the remains of the $400 promotional credit over the 2 years.
That will be great if it works on Mintsim. Thank you for your response.

Answered my own question. Once logged in to my account with my Veterans discount if you select the "free phone" it shows a monthly payment with no discount. Very disappointed I can't take advantage of this deal due to having a Veterans discount. 😔
Did you log in through the phone app? That seems to be working better for most plans. Not sure why but many did note that the phone app log in gave them the free phone with the terms clearly stating the price with 24 monthly bill credits.

Looking for the dual screen case has been a failure but it took me down a rabbithole about the LG velvet. It turns out this phone has a desktop mode since it has video out. It probably uses that to power that second screen but it can be projected to a monitor, tv or a portable usb-c display. Interesting! If only it came with the high end DAC on the 3.5 mm

Log in to your account, find all the lines and click on one you want to upgrade; you should see devices and make sure the big box on top says"I am upgrading a device".

are you in any earlier promotions of tmobile? For 2lines plan, tmobile starts from 45$/month with a cap of 50GB high premium data. Mint also seems to have unlimited data once the initial high speed data is utilized.

For lower high speed data consumption user (4GB/month in my case), mint seems to offer a better deal @15/month billing
I'm on an earlier version of the 55+ plan. Two lines, $60 per month total.

I have a few usbc to hdmi dongles laying around. I will try "DEX" mode once I received the phones.

Don't go through with the purchase unless you see the promotion confirmation on the "Order detail". See the attached screen shot for what you it will look like.

If you're not getting the promotion, I'd start over. I don't recall every step exactly but sign into your T-Mobile account, choose a line to upgrade, select the LG Velvet, and go from there.

You can find some examples on YouTube. Pretty cool stuff. Things my pixel 6 can't even do

Now I'm getting a panic attack 😂 did it say "get free"? You'll need to choose the monthly installments.

Yeah I tried the app on both android and IPAD. also tried the website. Every time I click the free phone deal if still shows $16.67 a month for 24 months and never shows anything about a $400 credit. Tried going all the way to the payment page and it never shows up. 🤷🏼 ♂️

There's a chance your account doesn't qualify. What type of plan are you on?
