Best way to buy the Velvet (or other free device):
1. Open T-Mobile app on your phone and go to "Account" tab
2. Tap the big square with your line in it. It's ok if that's not the line you're going to put the velvet on.
3. Tap "Upgrade device"
4. Tap "all devices"
5. If a popup shows asking what you'd like to do today, close it with the X at the top right
6. At the top, be sure the dropdown says "You are upgrading a current device"
7. Scroll to the very bottom and find the velvet and tap it
8. Hit upgrade my line. From there you can pick which line to actually buy the device on.

Presumably the only reason the LG is on this list is because they've abandoned the Android market. Otherwise, it does not belong in the category of free phone and will surely go out of stock VERY quickly after this deal goes live. The other freebie Samsung phones are somewhere between cruel jokes and OK as a dummy device to run your remote control app.

The wiki says that promos can't stack on a line but I have 2 lines on my family plan that have multiple installments:
I have one line that has $25.00 installment with $22.50 T333 2020 Samsung Trade P9 and $33.34 installment with $22.92 T498 2021 Samsung Trade P3
I have another line that has $16.67 installment with $16.67 T536 2021 Apple Switch P1 and $11.75 installment with $11.75 T555 2021 Samsung Trade P7
I plan to take a sharp knife to my $6 case and trim off a bit to make it fit if need be.
