For those who are having difficulty deciding, more power doesnt really mean better outcome. If you are just looking to prepare smoothies & blends. See this side by side in depth comparison between E310/E320 & 5300 and you can make the choice. Hope that helps in deciding the direction of pulling the trigger.

Really good deal for the 5200 at $279. This matches the June's frontpage deal. Last time it was cheaper was in 2019 at $260, so I wouldn't bank on that happening again.

The 5200 is one of America's Test Kitchen most recommended for high-end blenders.
same smoothie.
VERY different texture

not to mention ability to crush, blend, mix, etc...

not even close.

Is the refurbished Explorian really E320? I thought E320 was Costco exclusive?

Argh having a hard time choosing. I have an older Vitamix Drink master that has a 64oz container, so I'm leaning towards getting the refurbed E320 and having the best of the 5200 and the low profile container too.

Depends on your smoothies, but most likely overkill. Will it make amazing smoothie, yes, but a lot of sub $100 will also do the same. If you're looking to make nut butters, sorbets, grinding flours and expanding culinary tools, this is great.

But again, plenty of people with the money will buy this for just smoothies.
i'm in the same boat. but i'm also looking at the vacuum blenders. they dont pump air into the blend like the vitamix, thus your juice is not getting oxidized as quickly, and you're not drinking foam smoothies. and you can vacuum seal bottles too.

Looks like the E20 model is currently on sale in Costco NEW, with personal cup attachments and everything for just $100 more. Correct me if I am wrong

Also when I did a quick search in sd, this deal is regular in Amazon and showed up for same price in two or more listing

Is this really a good deal or should I wait ?

I have a Blendtec and was wondering if the Vitamix is better. Any thoughts?

And soups in 5 minutes with friction heating, if you care for that.
Was curious about the soup-making function. How does it taste when using the blender to heat?

Thanks OP. Picked up the 5200 and returning the 2300 back to Costco. The 5200 is the better blender in my opinion especially in small quantities. The smart options on the new mixers are nice, but I only used the app once to try it out. The app takes longer to connect to the mixer than it does to blend

In my opinion, V1200 is better, it's $90 more but comes with additional blade, jar and bigger motor in addition to 5 years warranty as opposed to 3 years. Also I like low profile model.

How does this compare to the Vitamix.com deal on the V1200 unit and accessories for $279.95 (5-year warranty) ?
