I have an iPad and a Peloton membership already which I can just use I guess. If I use the Peloton app and use live workouts/pre-recorded, does it still show my output/resistance/etc on the bike?

That's my main complaint bringing my phone to the 24 hour fitness gym. Those bikes don't really show my resistance and what not so when I'm trying to follow along with the instructors, I'm having a difficult time matching resistance.
This bike does not have a screen, but does output a Bluetooth signal with output/resistance readings. You can either using the echelon app (or 3rd party QZ app) to see the readings, but you'd need to use a separate device than the one you're watching the Peloton class on. (Or I use a chromecast to watch the peloton class on my TV and then use the QZ app on my cell phone).

Superb deal! I tried to buy this last year during the middle of the pandemic for $499 but they accidentally shipped me an EX-3 instead. Best bang for the buck out there for sure, especially at this price.

Download the qdomyos-zwift app, sync it up to the Peloton digital app, and you pretty much have the full Peloton experience at a fraction of the monthly subscription cost.

That's the downside with this bike integrating with peloton. It doesn't show your output/resistance on the PELOTON app, only at the ECHELON app.

What I do is install peloton on my smart TV (or use my tablet) and use another phone for the echelon for the output/resistance from my bike.

Got it. I won't have a TV near the bike unfortunately. My cousin has a similar set up and just sent me a link to a facebook group where a bunch of people run the same setup and improvise. Sure beats $1200 lol.

You need to use their app to see the resistance values. You will need a 2nd bluetooth device connected to the bike to see those values and watch the Peleton videos. There are conversion charts out there that show you the Echelon values that are the Peleton equivalent.

We have this bike. The flywheel is heavy and the spin is good, which makes it a good exercise bike. It's a very basic bike. This is one of the cheapest options out there for a "connected" bike. But that connection is very limited and only really syncs with the Echelon app. That said, for what it is, this is a great price.

Does this qualify for the R10, 6% cashback?

Looks like a good investment for lower body fitness, not upper body.

The only disadvantage is the handle only goes up and down, not front and back. For those that are very short or tall, it may be uncomfortable.
Also, your "b u t t" will thank replacing the seat with a more comfortable bike seat.

Is the $12.99/month Peloton subscription good for this bike instead of the more expensive $39.99/month from Echelon? Any current users, please chime in.

Health is excluded from 6%. So no.

Should I return the Bowflex from the Target deal earlier and get this instead?

With all due respect, I disagree. There are many peloton classes that you can work with this bike which will engage your full body, not only upper part. Like everyone else here mentioned, there is a dedicated FB group for similar bike with Peloton setup. I bought Amazon Bike last year at $499 so this is a steal price. Great sturdy bike and still holding well after a year. Ditch the Echelon subscription and use only Peloton from the go!

I would consider it if I didn't think the return process would be awful. I don't have the original packaging due to living in an apartment, there was just no room.

650 for the c7, (and having 250 tied up in target gift card, which isn't awful but inconvenient)

vs.

350. I'd need a heart monitor to replace the one that came with my bowflex c7, and I would need clip pedals possibly as well, as this only has cages I think.

so maybe a ~$200 difference, though the c7 does have the screen which clearly gives my heart rate, cadence, etc, so maybe just a wash. I do have the free year of the JRNY app as well.

So with the trouble it may just be a wash.

For someone who don't care about using any app, is this still a good deal?

Has anyone tried using the free app with data sync from the bike? Reviews indicate it either does not work or is pretty bad?

Just checked Amazon reviews ouch.
