You can buy a $20 off $200 coupon for $3 that gets this down to $189 before tax.
And given the length of this tool, are there situations where ironically it can't fit?
i always leave the page open. if its a tool i wanted, I refresh it throughout the day
edit: obviously for a lot of ppl the m12 is going to be the choice because of battery platform but for me im mainly dewalt and also i have now worked my way out of the m12 platform completely. need dewalt to make one of these or even makita

Edit
Damn thought this was a ratchet lol
I think I will get this and cancel stubby then?
Edit
Why this come with 2ah batt while the stubby 3/8 has 3 and 6ah?
Edit
Ordered this as well then and decide later lol

But the $189 stubby + accessories is now OOS. As for the 3/8 vs. 1/2, I think it's the exact same base tool just with different anvil sizes. I wonder why they don't make a version with interchangeable anvils. Of course you can get the same basic functionality albeit with a slight loss of torque with an adapter. If so, I wonder which loses you more torque, a 1/2" wrench with a 1/2" to 3/8" adapter, or a 3/8" wrench with a 3/8" to 1/2" adapter?
I don't think that for the torque ratings possible with the M12 tools, any short of realistic adapter or extension - other than purpose built torque sticks - will offer a meaningful penalty (or advantage) in applied torque.
Buying the "wrong" size, i.e. the one you don't have sockets for and you need adapters, will negate some of the form-factor advantage: why get the "stubbiest" tool possible only to "lengthen it" an inch or so with the adapter or using deep sockets and whatnot? Sure, works @ a pinch, but if what you need is a "short" tool, then match it with the shortest socket you realistically can.

But since I already have a 1/2" impact I'll probably very rarely need to do this. The only exception I can think of is a 21mm socket for lug nuts, as my Tekton 3/8" socket set only goes up to 19mm. But I can splurge and buy a 3/8" 21mm socket, or just use an adapter with one of my 1/2" 21mm sockets. Yeah, I'm overthinking this. ;-)

Factoring in a 20 off 200 coupon, this seems like a really nice price for the two ($217.50 for two compared to recent stubby deal would put the ratchet at $87.50).
Edit: Screw it I bit on this deal too. It was $215 before tax + $2.50 for a coupon. Between the impact ratchet, stubby, and fuel ratchet, I'd like to think I'm pretty set on a solid automotive and wrenching set of tools now. I'm pretty sure this is an all-time low for the fuel ratchet. Super stoked!
