Great price but I just somehow can't get behind spending $100 dollars for a plastic non luminated keyboard that has some iffy reviews that doesn't protect the tablet much. Yet somehow I am about to because it would give me the option to not log my laptop around. Anyone else found a better alternative?

Any external keyboard with Bluetooth works. Check YouTube I have seen kb comparison for s7

My main thing is having the trackpad, that's the ultimate convenience. But now that you mention it I should just buy a mx keys mini for the same price and simply use a Bluetooth mouse. I might buy it for $50 but it's definitely not worth $200 and questionable at $100

I have this for my S7 - paid $99 with free shipping from Microsoft back in September. It's one of those "quality of life" and "I want" things - similar to Apple users who will gladly pay 3x for the official Apple iPhone case over a cheap Off-brand case. It is pretty nice to not have to worry about using a Bluetooth keyboard (having to charge it up, having to re-pair it when it loses connection, etc). Keyboard simply snaps on, and it instantly works. I NEVER use the trackpad, and tiny keys requires lots of adjusting, but tactility feels nice. The DeX mode (that's triggered when keyboard is attached) is surprisingly good - I always thought it was a gimmicky Samsung thing, but I actually prefer it over standard Android OS after using it.
