Atom LT is substantially less wind resistant than this because of the side panels. Very different. Atom LT is for more active use.
Atom LT, side panels or not will be way warmer than these jackets. Speaking as someone who owns both. The Atoms are very warm jackets and realistically not very popular for active use. Good for low activity in cold weather because they run pretty hot

The atom lt is not warmer than this. It's just not. 60g insulation, with nothing at all on the sides. Atom lt is not very warm... It's a good 40-50 degree jacket for active use.
Atom AR is much warmer but that's totally different.
No medium on Men's Hoody. I'm usually Medium or Large depending on the brand. Anyone know if this jacket is true to size or is it best to size up/down? Also, how good is the water resistance?

Is this a good mid layer for hiking or urban use?

Yeah, I've had have both, both are great. Different uses for me. I like Arc more, because I sweat. But different strokes.
