Thank you! I did when I installed the lights, but I'll try it again. Do you remember when you did this firmware update?

That's good, but I can tell you I'm definitely not alone in having problems with these bulbs.
I just did mine last week, before the update the lights worked 1 out of 3 times. Now the lights work flawlessly, one is a little slower to respond but it's only like 1/2 a second slower.

Oh good to hear! I installed my lights months ago and haven't updated since then. Thank you.

A19 is the shape, a normal type bulb, CA complaint I believe means it's produces at least 45 lumens per watt and has a high CRI, color rendering index.
I don't think CA has a CRI compliance considering the norm is like 70-80?

That being said the RGB led tends to have high CRI by default, which is one good reason for them.

I think Title 20 is the one that mandates cri. But not sure if that comes in on selling leds or new builds or something else.

Ah "CRI > 80 for non-modified spectrum or 75 for modified spectrum lamps"
https://insights.regencylighting....r-lighting

Only the worst bulbs were under 80 for years now.

Oh ok. That makes sense when even dollar tree sells compliant leds in California.

I did a factory reset on the bulbs, then I added them into the c by GE app and updated the firmware after I was done with that I factory reset them again and added them into my Google home and I haven't had an issue since.

Also have c by GE's and they're a fine smart bulb, no connection issues as long as they're on a 2.4GHZ only wireless network.

Only complaint is that c by GE doesn't support local sunset scheduling. I love the Kasa (TP-link) bulbs for that.
