It's better (if you get the everything bundle), the Costco deal included the foil transfer kit and much less sample material with this deal, you could add the foil transfer kit and have a much better bundle (material, cutting mats, tools, etc) for almost the same price. The only advantage to the Costco kit is the warranty.

From the reviews I've read (business practices aside- as cricut realized it would tank with a subscription requirement) the silhouette is only comparable to the maker as a vinyl cutter... and if that's all you want, get an air explorer 2 for much less money. The maker takes the cake with the different media it can handle.

I called and was able to get a price match from the other ~$236 deal. I used the cricut access member option.

edit: FYI op links the essentials instead of the everything bundle, which is about $10 cheaper but has less stuff.

The math on the cricut page doesn't add up. It isn't giving me the 10% off for access and 20% off for the coupon

$470 subtotal but only a $101 discount after 20% and 10% discount.
Shouldn't it be $94 off for the 20% coupon and then 470-94=376, then another $37.60 for the 10%. I will have to

My bad with putting the wrong link. Not sure why it's showing 299 in the cart right now, but seeing that too. But still see the 10% off for when you add the cricut access to the cart and then an extra 20% off after you put the ROOSABELLA code in right before checkout. Wish I could put a screenshot here

Thanks OP! Ordered one. I also noticed that the price went from 279 to 299 when I added it to my cart. But the price after adding Access and the promo code was $225 (plus another $13.50 for tax in my state).
