This is the first time I have seen 55lb. Prefer the 45lb since most Barbells weigh that.
They are awesome for landmines

$1.4/lbs seems like a great deal for new bumper plates. Even a decent deal compared many new iron plates. In for 2.

Walmart also has the "Tru Grit Olympic Bumper Plate 45LB Pair Weight Set for $126.90" It says 25lbs on the top but its 45lbs if you look at the weight selection on the side. I should put it on slickdeal if its not on there already, but I never done it before. Always been a lurker.

You might know them differently. Most people call them 25KG plates.
^^^this. Little known fact: all plates in pounds began as a conversion from metric. Barbells are typically 20kg which is roughly 45lbs. And kg plates typically start at 25kg and go down in 5kg increments. 25kg=55lbs, 20kg=45lbs, 15kg=35lbs, 10kg=25lbs, and so on. None of them are exact (the 55lb plates are actually closest), but it's rounded to the nearest 5lb increment.

Thanks Op. Bought now, think later. Free 90 day returns. Might have FOMO when price goes back up. For comparison, (2) 55lb Rogue HG2.0 bumpers are $285 shipped. I would say if you deadlift and looking to expand your weights, get this.

I've got 250 #'s of Xmark bumpers which I assume are the same as these. They work great for the price...which with this style of Hi-impact bumper plates I don't see much of any reason to pay a premium from any other brand (They're all made in the same factories).

I've got a mix of crumble bumpers on top of that, plus a bunch of random Iron so I really don't know if I need this. BUT it's tempting.

That's basically why I bought a pair. I can deadlift and farmer's carry all the plates I have at the moment so this was the perfect deal.

Thanks for pointing that out. This has been the best price for bumpers that I have seen since covid.

Pound plates are supposed to weigh what they say in pounds, not just a conversion from metric rounded. Cheap plates have crappy tolerance, but good plates (Rogue, et al.) with stated tolerance weigh what they're supposed to: 45lbs, not 44, 25 lbs, not 22, etc.

If anyone has bought this brand in the past...curious to know how strong of an odor they give off when they're brand new. TIA
I have a sensitive nose, so every brand I've bought has a funky smell to me. I just clean em outside and keep them out there to "bake" for a couple of days before bringing them inside.

Some of us pay extra for 45s that actually way 42 so we think we're more jacked than we are.

Thanks OP, ordered 4. I got a 300lb cast iron York Barbell set that came with a nice barbell, I'll use these for dead lifts. For additional weight, I'll add some smaller diameter cast iron plates. I read that you can mix and match as long as the amount of bumper plates weigh more than the cast iron.

Received mine today. Quality looks ok. Some spots on the edges aren't 100% smooth, but it doesn't look like it will affect the functionality or durability. Comes with a 2 year warranty. Also included a flyer detailing an offer for free barbell collars in exchange for an honest review.

Had the typical rubber-chemical smell when opening the package, but didn't notice it much after moving them to my weight rack.
