Fun game and well worth it if you don't have game pass. I think this and FF7-Remake are the only RPGs I've wanted to play through all the post boss fights / quests in recent years. Pretty sure I put in 100+ hours in this one.

Not a huge fan of this game.. I'm 25 hours or so in and it just drags. Probably won't finish it.

Really enjoyed the characters and story in this game. Took 100+ hours to beat but well worth it.

Really great game. Especially if you're like me and was raised on JRPGs and love reading/watching the story unfold. The characters are lovable and I got invested in all of them very early on.

Gameplay wise it's a little too easy on default mode but they give you gameplay modifications that make the game harder (and much more interesting IMO).

Fully agree with this. The game just draaaaagged for me. Dragon Warrior 4 on NES is one of my favorite games. I still play it on my RetroPie. This? Collects dust.

Dragon Quest XI is a great game. It's worth full price. While it doesn't have a PS5 or Xbox Series X/S version, it is patched to run at 60fps on those consoles.

It's funny that this was just on sale for $35 for the Switch, yesterday or the day before. Nintendo is such a greedy-ass company.

Fps might be patched but I think it's the lower fidelity S version port brought over from Nintendo. I read about lower quality textures simply upscaled instead of a proper S upgrade from the PS4 source code.

I'm right there with you, I only recently got into JRPGs with Persona 5 and this was recommended to me.

I do think it's a fun game, and the story has its moments, but after 20+ hours it hasn't really grabbed me and I kinda just want to move on.
