I've been on the $5 per month for 5 months (5 for 25) or $5 per month for 6 months (6 month special offer) for many years now. I'm really tired of having to call the day before my plan expires to get on another plan. I renewed today and the agent I chatted with got me on a $5.99 per month plan for life. Its 0.99 more then I was paying but I'll never had to remember to call again. This new plan bills monthly. Works out to $7.75 with the fees and taxes per radio per month.
I got a similar deal from them last year when calling in for my regular renewal searching for a cheaper price. I called to "cancel" my accounts and was offered Select on each radio for 12 months for $66 (also including the streaming, and adding on the normal extra service fees) - it's $6 more than I have been paying per year, but it will automatically renew at the same price without me needing to call them!

Totally worth $6 extra per year per account to not have to deal with calling them to renew each account at the discounted rate each year.

NOTES:

I called 866-635-2349, went through the prompts, when CSR picked up, I told him I wanted to cancel as the new rate I was going to be charged was too expensive (normal spiel I always have used). Then I said if I could get the same 12 mos for $60 that I had currently, I'd renew, otherwise I would cancel. He then offered me the plan mentioned above ($66 per year for Select with streaming included, and it auto-renews at the same price). During his speech on the terms & conditions, the renewal rate he mentioned was the same, and he referred to it renewing at the "advantage discount rate".

I do miss Howard. Are their bitrates still trash? I remember listening to the music channels and feeling like a thousand fairies were whispering in my ear through an aluminum tube
You aren't missing anything. Howard has been trash the last year. There's a good interview once a month at best. The rest of the show is him stretching 5 mins of content into 30, and it's all about being old. I've listened nearly everyday for 30 years and I barely turn it on anymore because it's so bad.

a company may be in prebankruptcy if they try to fly a deal like this
They've been offering stuff like this forever. But, in all reality, just about any company can be in prebankruptcy.

Can it be used in car and streaming at the same time? Specifically, can I listen in my truck while wife streams through Bluetooth in her car at the same time?

It's generally not fun, but if you end up calling their customer service you can talk them in to 6 months for $25-30...problem is you have to do it every 6 months.
edit: they will likely say "We can give you a free month!" but not say that it goes up to a hiked price after. Or even offer a free radio to keep you on.

This thread actually jogged my memory so I logged into my wifes account to see if I can change/chat/cancel through there and it said a better rate was available for 12 months at $60...but for some reason there are like multiple subscriptions now under the account so going to give it a couple days to see if it clears up and then call if not.
If you call and say you want to cancel, they'll give you an offer to stay. Decline that offer and they usually transfer you to a second person for the cancellation. That's the person who will actually give you a deal worth sticking around for.

Royalty fee is a false advertisement scam. No other online music providers charge it. I run as fast as I can once I hear it.
I don't think that is an accurate statement. SiriusXM along with any other service that plays legitimate music and content has to pay RIAA fees (aka royalty fees). You might not see a line item in a bill for RIAA fees but those providers have to pay them. I'm not sure this includes actual broadcast radio stations who also stream their broadcast via Internet.

Big Steve is why I would sign up.

There are many free commercial free dead streaming stations so its hard to justify
Yea I should probably change from T-mobile, so many dead spots with them throughout the country which prohibits streaming.

My 2018 F150 was just offered $5 a month for 12 months. I haven't used it since I first got the truck for the promo period. I keep getting an error when trying the OP's link(after I enter my radio/acct #'s). Here is my $5 / mo offer(YMMV) www.siriusxm.com/yourdeal12b

Yep, that is usually how I've done it in the past. Ended speaking to someone through their chat on their site and took a bit of me "no thanks, no thanks, no thanks" but did get 12 months for $60. Trying to change it based on what was "available" without any intervention was a crapshoot.

They ALSO have a current promotion for LIFETIME DISCOUNT - $5.99 per month for Music and Entertainment package or $8.99 per month for Platinum package. Just have to ask and they will put your billing on LIFETIME rate. (rates are plus fees and taxes).

If I remember correctly you should be able to look up account number by car's VIN.
Also I think the car will display a message with phone number and account number to call and activate the subscription if you have a screen/display in your car.
