The $5 a months no more. I wasted an hour last night trying to renew.
Cheapest they will go is 6 and the fees went up to so ends up being almost $88 a year, was paying $72 all in.

After playing the 6 month or (lately) 1yr renew game for 10 years, I've had it. They finally refuse to extend the 5/mo deal and send me a paper bill. I cancelled and it feels great. Worst business model on earth.

Thanks. Going to shoot for $60 this year. Usually I think it's something like $100-$120, but can't recall if that's with fees or taxes or not.
I use this link. https://care.siriusxm.com/subscribe/checkout/flepz?intcmp=HPSimplehero_NA_www:Home_5MONTHFOR12MONTHS... [siriusxm.com]

Its gets me to $5 monthly. I have it on my newer 2020 Terrain and 2021 Trailblazer.

Royalty fee is a false advertisement scam. No other online music providers charge it. I run as fast as I can once I hear it.
Not sure why so many find this comment helpful, who cares what they call their fees, they disclose them before you sign on the dotted line. Besides that, there are 'no other online music providers' that are really directly comparable to SiriusXM in my opinion, because SiriusXM's primary product is not an 'online' product, it's a satellite product.

If you were lucky enough to buy a lifetime subscription, the Sirius v Alvarez now allows unlimited transfers for a $75 fee. I made sure to transfer my subscription before I sold my old car. The subscription was actually more valuable than the car lol
You don't even have to transfer it before you sell the car, once the settlement went through I transferred a lifetime subscription off a car I sold six years ago, I'm sure whoever owns my 2005 Acura was probably pretty disappointed when their XM Radio stopped working this year.

Really hate how deals are only ever for people who are not customers. Despite my insistence, my wife has continued to be a customer for about 10 years, now. The only deal we ever see is 1 year for about $99, which comes out to be about $120 after fees and taxes.
Anyone can get transferred to retentions and get the 5 months for 25 bucks deal. Ive done it multiple times.

I had the last free promo and the quality sounded like crap. I have a great setup with Mtx amp, Alpine subs and Kappa speakers. It's better than Am, but not even close to my FM. Only thing that sounded decent was Comedy/news/sports channel.

" Unlike Spotify, SiriusXM works on satellites, which means that the overall sound quality of SiriusXM is terrible. One of the main reasons for having a terrible sound quality is bitrate. Two satellites use two completely different systems but still transfer data at around 4 MHZ."

When I sold my 2003 Altima on the street, the guy wanted to know if I lifetime installed for him.

Where is the link for 3yrs for $99, or 5yrs for $150 on Apple Music and Spotify?
Spotify Family plan nets each listener $3/mo.

That's $108 for 3 years. I believe that's cheaper than XM 3yr $99 + taxes.

No link needed, but you need 5 people who want Spotify.

Spotify and XM serve similar and different purposes.

For people who care about music and are rarely out of coverage, they are closer competitors.

Spotify is great...for me. i love the Discover Weekly playlists.

XM can be cool too. I like their DJs/VJs whatever telling me some bit of trivia about a song or band.

XM quality does suck, but you can get better sounding (and far more channels) streaming it from your phone.

Sub just expired. I have subscribed to the Apple package for storage, news, TV+, and music. Don't need fitness/arcade but it's cheaper as an AIO option. I can stream/plug in to my Jeep with my unlimited data plan. Final straw? Dropping channels/moving channels to streaming only.

I tried this for 2 radios. One has only been inactive for about 19 months so I was prepared to get nothing for that. The other radio has been inactive since 2012. In both cases, I got nothing better than the standard $5.99/mo for 12 months.
