The $5 a months no more. I wasted an hour last night trying to renew.
Cheapest they will go is 6 and the fees went up to so ends up being almost $88 a year, was paying $72 all in.
That stinks. Thanks for the info,

i used the link you posted, didn't work.
just took me to my account and offered me whatever their current platinum promo is.

i don't mind calling and doing the dance with customer service.
i've had luck the last 2 years.

just curious if anyone is still having luck or if the price increased.

thanks
I'm getting the same thing, maybe need to call and try

It 100% works. You can't have active service on your radio for it to work. That's definitely what you both are doing wrong. You are trying this link while you already have an active plan. Call and cancel and the link will work instantly.

So people have been able to call, cancel, and then immediately activate the 3 or 5 year deal?

Thanks for trying to help, but note in my post, I won't deal with them unless they send me a paper bill... like they've always done before. See the fine print in that link you posted...
" A credit card is required on this offer.". They are sticking to that now... They let me cancel a long time sub over that point... Even after escalating it to a manager.

Royalty fee is a false advertisement scam. No other online music providers charge it. I run as fast as I can once I hear it.
Please, provide legal proof of this. As you mention others I just chatted with customer care at Spotify, Pandora and Apple Music whom all ALL confirmed by federal they are REQUIRED to charge royalty fees as well, but instead of listing it as a separate line charge on our bills they instead include / build it into the monthly prices.

One radio that has been inactive almost 3 years got the offer. The radio that has been inactive about 4 months did not.

Just tried this and it DOES NOT WORK. They are closed via phone, so I cancelled via chat. Successfully cancelled, used link, got a "we're sorry" message telling me I would have to call customer service or use one of their regular promos. Waste of time for me.

If you cancelled and then turned around and called the same day you cancelled, it technically won't work. You need to wait until the next day.

You login the following day into your account to confirm that your radio status says inactive.
Only then you can take advantage of this IMHO.

Give it a try tomorrow after verifying as mentioned.

I did verify it was deactivated, and was sent an email confirmation, but I will try again tomorrow and Monday if it doesn't work tomorrow and report back.

Try clearing all the xmradio, siriusxm cookies from your browser and retry to see if that helps.
I chose my existing account, it used all that pre-existing info, instead of entering a radio code, etc.
Yep. Tried all of that. Also tried on iPad, Android phone and Windows desktop. Same result. I populate all the data and hit "complete my order" and it sends me right back to the original landing page. And yes, I cleared cache, cookies and history. Also, I tired Safari, Brave, Chrome and Edge. I am pretty sure I for one am cooked on this deal.

Thanks for trying to help BTW! Smilie

So just to clarify, see attached page, which I landed on after clicking on the offer link.

The first thing I did after I got to this page is clicked on "sign-in" to login and then basically followed the prompts after that. I presume you're doing the same?
I don't recall entering any info.

Either you need to wait a day, or for some reason, they've tweaked their offer to qualify only after a certain # of days, etc. I just tried the next day and then it just worked!

I think that's the problem. I don't get that page when clicking the deal link. I get a different page that requires you to enter your account and radio id. It doesn't look anything like your page. Tried different browsers, vpn, etc.

Really hate how deals are only ever for people who are not customers. Despite my insistence, my wife has continued to be a customer for about 10 years, now. The only deal we ever see is 1 year for about $99, which comes out to be about $120 after fees and taxes.
You are doing it all wrong. I use to do the song and dance on the phone for years. Now the last two times , I canceled over the phone. Then renewed online with the latest promo. Right now I have 6 months Platinum for $5 a month ( before fee) I get billed monthly for it. Was a deal a few months ago. Needless to say, I'm done with calling and have them call my bluff. The last time I told them straight. I want this deal. They said that is for new customers. Fine. Cancel. Next day I signed up for that deal. I'm not wasting my time any longer.
