SiriusXM is offering 3-year and 5-year deals for inactive radios, though I'm not sure of the exact details of which radios qualify. Streaming is included in the plans. The plan is the "XM Music & Entertainment" plan.

The 3-year deal is for $99, while the 5-year deal is $149. Each gets the 21.4% royalty fee plus local sales taxes added. Neither plan automatically renews.

This offer came in the mail. It listed my radio ID and an account #, which I plugged in to https://siriusxm.com/3yeardeal.

If you are able to get the 3yrs/$99 deal, I know that the $99 "plus fees and taxes" are payable up front. Is the subscription transferable? Can you get pro-rated rebate is you cancel? What is the drive out price after fees and taxes? I'm an old customer who cancelled a couple years ago. I know I can get the answer to these questions IF I'm willing to spend an hour with "customer service". At least one of you has already done that.
thanks all.

Based on what I see on my account, which has this deal, I can transfer the service to a different radio. I cannot confirm this is true for all accounts, but from the little I read on SiriusXM's site, it seems like that's true for all subscribers. I do not know the details of how it works, but there is more info here [siriusxm.com] and here [siriusxm.com]. I do not know what happens if you cancel early. As stated in the original post, the fees are 21.4%, so $120.93 plus your state taxes, which I do not know. Before tax, that's $3.34 a month for 36 months paid upfront. You will likely need to spend an "hour" with customer service over online chat or phone to get this offer. I was able to get the 5 year for $149 offer today, but I had to talk to a rep.

Can I transfer my current subscription if I replace my old satellite radio with a newer one?
Yes! You can transfer your current service to a different radio, as long as your old radio is not currently active on a trial subscription. Certain restrictions apply for Lifetime plans you may want to transfer. Also, please note you cannot transfer a trial subscription to another radio.

Click here if you want to transfer your paid subscription to your new vehicle.
Click here if you'd prefer to have this done for you over chat. When chatting online, please make sure to select 'Sold/Traded My Vehicle' from the Category drop down menu.
There's a one-time fee which varies by package type. For most packages, the transfer fee is $15. Please note that there are different rules and fees for transferring Lifetime Subscriptions. Each of the fees which you may be charged will be subject to applicable taxes.

Just an FYI, I previously received a letter in the mail showing I was eligible for the 3 years for $99 deal if I subscribed by 12/31/21. My free trial ended on March 1st, so today I chatted with them and told the online rep that I was having trouble subscribing to the 3 year deal online, but I also stated that a "friend" had received the offer of 5 years for $149. The rep offered me the 5 year deal of $149 plus the 21.4% fee and taxes, which meant for me, the total was $190.83 which works out to $3.18 a month. Pretty slick deal for me who hates ad while listening to spa or classical music in particular (I care less about that with pop or rock music).

Link and offer still work as of today 4/16/22. I chatted with an agent and they told me this offer only valid for vehicle from 2009 and below. I tried on my 2008 and offer work but does not work with my 2014 vehicle. I tried to ask the agent if they can provide the offer for 2014 vehicle and that's when they told me the 36month for $99 or 60 months for $149 is only for 2009 or older vehicle only. I guess they don't expect people with 2009 model (which is 13yrs old) to keep the vehicle for much longer hence they can provide the offer.

What the agent told you wasn't correct. This also worked for my 2012 vehicle.

I got this deal via email.

In early 2018 I bought a used model year 2008 car that had an inactive SIriusXM. I don't know when the subscription was most recently active prior to my buying the car.

In autumn 2021 I signed up for the 6 months free trial. After the trial ended I did not continue with a subscription. I received multiple marketing emails from Sirius per week after the lapse, but I clicked no links and do not allow external images to load in my email client. (Both are common ways for companies to track the fact that you've read an email.)

I first got the offer via those marketing emails in late mid April 2022. Today, May 9th, I took the plunge. I paid $180 total for 5 years of subscription.

Good to know, I can't imagine how many autos had Sirius XM available back then but i'm sure it's not common. They probably are gambling that the subscription will outlive the car.

I'm sure they still have subscribers from when they were 2 seperate companies and sold a lifetime transferable membership.

??? Is that a trick question?

Umm, let's see ... could it be, maybe the deal that this thread is discussing?

BTW, you might want to brush up on your English grammar. The pronoun "this" is never used for a place; it is used to identify a person or thing (generally something nearby or recently experienced)

Your correct question (still rather strange) should have been "What is the "this"? (Also note, "?" goes after the close quote, not inside.
