I (and others) have gotten FACTORY BLEMISHED items from Direct Tools Factory Outlet (DTFO) registered for Ridgid's Lifetime Service Agreement (LSA).
And you are correct, DTFO does not mention LSA at all at their website*. But if you contact a store (when they are open), they will confirm this.
* I never said they did.
When I got my 1st FB item, I expected that it would be scratched or have some type of ding.
I thought that it may have fell off a conveyor belt at the factory and got "bruised", but for the cheaper price I would put up with it*.
Luckily for me, my items came out of the box factory fresh with nothing noticeable wrong with it.
So why is it FB?

* It is a tool after all, and will get scuffed up sometime.

I do think Direct Tools could do more to clarify the whole LSA situation on their website. It's super confusing considering that some blemished products state "eligible for LSA" and others just mention the 3 year warranty. Their FAQ also does not mention the LSA at all. However, the Ridgid site does in fact allow you to register blemished items from them.
Aside from having to physically mail off my LSA paperwork vs submitting it all online (like when purchasing from Home Depot), the whole process was pretty easy.

Aside from having to physically mail off my LSA paperwork vs submitting it all online (like when purchasing from Home Depot), the whole process was pretty easy.
Here is what I do....
I suggest that you create an account (if you don't have one) with Direct Tools Factory Outlet (DTFO). Doing that should keep a record of your orders. This is if you order online.
While registering the LSA: I suggest that you wait until you get the item*, then...
- Take a screenshot of your order from the DTFO site (assuming you made an account) and use that as your "receipt".
- Register your LSA (which will require you to create an account if you don't have one).
- Upload your "receipt" when given the option to do so.
- The site will tell you to mail your receipt to them to complete your process.
- The workaround (which I HIGHLY SUGGEST) is to call** the General number for LSA (number found at the LSA site) to complete.
- When you call, they may ask what is your username so they can access your account.
- Once they access your account, they can see that your LSA is pending and they can complete the process once they verify your receipt.
If you uploaded your receipt and they can read it, then you will be approved within minutes.If they can not read your receipt (happened to me once***), then you may have you to email it to them.
Stay on the phone with them while you email the receipt.
Once you email it, ask them to see if it is there. If they say no, ask them to check their SPAM.
Having to email takes longer, but once they verify you will be approved.
The process changes slightly if you buy from a DTFO store.
The change is that you will have to scan your receipt (if you can) so you can upload it to LSA.
* You have to wait because part of registering requires you to provide a serial number.
** The site also has a Chat button that should work also (but I have not used it).
*** I once asked why I had to send my receipt through email after it has been already uploaded and was told that some new reps can not see uploaded items.

A brad nailer works well for quarter round / shoe moulding and other wood to wood trim on doors or windows.
If you're doing any extensive trimming you'll want both.
