My 5yo has several different brands among his giant bin of magnet tiles, including a Tytan set. This is a picture I took of 3 brands side by side. The one on the Left is Tytan and the one on the right is from Childrens Hub. I don't recall the one in the middle, but I know he's never been given Magna Tiles so its not that brand.
Tytan's magnets are indeed smaller, and if I carefully compare the attractive forces of each brand, I'll say Tytan's bonds are very slightly weaker. However, in practice we've never noticed the difference. So the smaller magnet size wouldn't prevent me from buying them again.
I will say the Childrens Hub tiles feel flimsier than the other two due to the lack of internal cross bracing.
These are hands down the best toy we have ever bought for our kids. The only thing that they have consistently played with over the years, and still continue to do so. You can never have enough!
Same at Sam's Club in case someone prefers to buy there for longer return policy if they're buying for later and want the option to rectify if something is found to be faulty then.

Seems like the issue with most of these is the weak magnets compared to the original.
Speaking from experience:

Eh, I stay away from any that don't have metal rivet reinforcement. Best affordable, good magnet strength, and safely constructed are Playmags which also go on sale frequently but are more expensive than these.

This is the exact same set that Sam's Club had at the same price. However, it looks as though Sam's has pulled all of their stock and now it's at Walmart. I wonder if the 60 piece sets will move next.

I have only bought Playmags sets because they include metal rivet reinforcement, so can't definitively say.
Having used several different brands, I can say the metal rivets make no difference. They break at the same frequency as the non-riveted tiles. IMO its a sales gimmick foremost.
