A quick SD search showed the blue and black one hit the $50 range in Oct and still barely got 6 TU's.

It seems it is a very poor design that you will max out very quickly since you can't load plates all the way to the base of the plate holder or else you will injure your fingers.

It would be nicer if the bar was 45lb (like a standard barbell) so all the calculations would be the same. 500lb max is also a little light for deadlift bar (no so much that people lift 500lb, but they tend to get dropped a lot, so the higher weight limit means longer life).

I do like the built in stand, though.

Lowest price in about a year, and slightly below the long-term pre-Covid price of $70.

Lots of issues with the plates being too close to your hands, which can be helped with spacers, but still a design flaw (like most CAP products!). Still a good deal to round out your home gym.

This is the first trap bar I seen that's bolted together. I only seen welded trap bars at gyms. I guess that's why it's rated with a lower weight. Bolts will need retightening over time, especially if you let it hit the ground with each rep. Still good for home use Thumbsup
