Nothing screams joystick drift like this generation of remotes. I'd steer clear and wait for the newer ones to drop in price. I've had 2 of these remotes and they both drifted in a year.

The cable that came with my Xbox controller quickly became my favorite Micro-B cable ever. Its like 10 feet long, and I used it for tons of stuff, and might buy this just for a backup.

Oh, I'll probably use the controller at some point too.
