Photolemur is a "one click" photo enhancer. Might work on some photos but the other software is more interesting.
Aurora HDR is for stacking bracketed photos. If that doesn't mean anything to you, you won't have any use for it.
Luminar 4 is basically a Lightroom Classic competitor. It's been discontinued.
Luminar AI is like "Luminar 5 Lite Edition". Think of it like super-powered filters: it's for adjusting an entire image at once, but does include some layers and masking features to apply those adjustments. It's somewhere between Lightroom Classic and Lightroom CC.
(Not Part Of This Bundle) Luminar Neo is, as other posters have said, coming in February 2022. You can think of it as "Luminar 5 Pro."

If you want a more direct Photoshop competitor, check out Serif's Affinity Photo. I believe it's still on Black Friday sale as well.
I came across the SD post which prompted me to look into the Luminar AI software. Luminar offers a time restricted full version trial on their website. I downloaded the trial and installed it (it takes forever to install because the majority of the software is downloaded during the install process).

It took about 20 minutes to learn the ins and outs of the Luminar AI software. I had several portraits of my daughter's friends that I needed to tweak for their senior pictures (my daughter is a junior). I was incredibly impressed with this software. I spent hours working on one picture in photoshop and the results weren't nearly as good as what I got from the Luminar AI software in about 5 minutes. This isn't a dig against Photoshop, I am just not any near proficient with the complexities of Photoshop. I was easily able to remove skin blemishes, erase fuzz on their clothing, brighten up the lighting on their faces, easily set complementary color, brightness and contrast as well a tweak many other settings in a few minutes.

So I read the several posts on this thread the one that caught my eye was Luminar Neo which will be released in February and will include the functionality of Luminar 4 and Luminar AI in a single package. Luminar Neo can be preordered for $59. For an extra $29 you can receive Luminar AI now with your $59 preorder of Luminar Neo.

OR you can order this bundled package and receive Luminar 4, Luminar AI, Aurora HDR and many filers for $25 then pre-order Luminar AI for $59 and save $3 while receiving a wealth of add-ons that work with Luminar AI and are supposed to work with Luminar Neo. It seems like a no-brainer to me so I ordered this bundled package and also preordered Luminar Neo for $59. Parts of this bundled package is still download as I write this. I was able to take the activation code for Luminar AI and immediately activate the trial version to the full version.

If I was a pro photographer I would take the time to learn the pro photo editing packages. I am not a pro, I am an enthusiastic amateur who doesn't particularly enjoy spending hours tweaking a single photo and I do not get paid for doing so. For me this is the perfect package. I don't edit photos on a daily basis so I will never gain the proficiency of the pros on the pro editing tools. There is a lot more to this software than simply replacing the sky in a photo with beautiful stock photo sky. Honestly replacing the sky has no interest to me. My old camera had built in HDR compilation which I really loved. My new camera does not. I am looking forwards to bracketing landscapes again with Aurora HDR and having more control over the results. The Luminous deal of $59 for Luminous Neo and an additional $29 dollars for Luminous AI does not come with Aurora HDR or any of the other great components of this bundle.

P.S. I have a somewhat fast computer with fast SSD drives. The performance of applying the different filters and doing the different edits in Luminar AI is fine for me even with my 61mp photos.
Luminar Neo is coming in few months.
so they are old version practically.

if you want Neo, you better buy Neo at official site directly instead of buying this.

HumbleBundle - $25 for Luminar 4, Luminar AI, Aurora HDR, Photolemur and a bunch of templates/plugins.

The deal is probably worth it for getting Luminar AI and Aurora HD.
If you already have Luminar4, you can probably gift it.

The plugins / templates are worth it too

This. Neo should be out by February. I use Luminar 4 on a daily basis and both love and hate it. Looking forward to Neo. I think the templates for this price are worth it though since they will be compatible with Neo.

They did the same thing right before AI came out with a Luminar 4 bundle I think. Although as I recall, I did get Luminar 4 as a free upgrade for buying Luminar 3 late. I've not seen them do that type of deal again.

The software is decent, but Luminar 4 takes an annoying very long time to start up on my Windows 11 system and I'm not sure why. I've also had random program freezes. As for its basic functions, it's easy to use and does get the job done.

Newbie question - as I am not familiar with this.
Assume this software bundle can be used for photo editing - how is it compared to something like Photoshop in terms of capabilities(not price)?

Skylum is slowly trying to obsolete Luminar 4 support in favor of their new version Neo. They are doing the same every year, so basically you may not expect any or very few update, bugfix, new feature update on their software.

Grabbed it! If that AI one is even half as cool as it looks, it'll be worth it

I tried Photolemur before on astrophotography shots, didn't really feel like it did anything useful. Did not try regular photos though.

How is Luminar in general compared to Lightroom? I suspect nothing really beats Lightroom but if it's 90% close then I don't mind trying, price seem very reasonable (even for Neo). I did not like Affinity Photo btw, it felt super cumbersome to use compared to Photoshop/Lightroom.

Luminar3 and Luminar AI both are very cool software. You don't need to learn complicated Photoshop tricks and photos looks much better with just few slider.

I 've both Luminar 4 and Luminar AI. Recently during black friday I also ordered Lumiar NEO (upgrade from AI) which is coming out in Feb 2022.

Have fun with photos and you can create very amazing photos with easy layers and filters in no time.

I had Photolemur 2? and recently I tried Luminar AI...Luminar AI is leaps and bounds better than Photolemur. Luminar Neo is Luminar AI except with more customizability and it's supposed to be faster. Give the free trial a try and see if it works for you.

I want to remind anyone who may be interested in purchasing this that HumbleBundle allows you to adjust your donations (look under the checkout button). Since they started forcing a "tip" I tend to lower the amount HumbleBundle gets the the absolute minimum.

This is how they get users to subscribe without knowing that they are subscribing. Smilie They seem to release a new version every years and precede it by a HumbleBundle release.

It's fun to use, but I don't think it's something that you would want to use in a professional environment. It's nothing compared to the quality of some other tools, like those made by Topaz, but it's defiantly a "fun" app to mess around with. Something equivalent to some of the "fun" apps on mobile that we really never get to see on a desktop environment.

I would recommend anyone thinking about this to set their expectations on what this software can do by downloading the demo from the website first. You'll notice that the "AI" engine may not identify the subject of photos or the composition correctly which will then make the program useless for the particular photo. Though when it works the results can be enjoyable.

It's not comparable to Photoshop really, this is more like a subset of what some people use photoshop for and made simpler. It use to be a plug-in for photoshop, but now is sold as a standalone. As an example, if you want to remove a background of a photo so that it's transparent you can not do that in this app even though it has the ability to change backgrounds.

This post really hits it on the head. This software is great to play with and is fun making photos pop to where you really feel like your editing at the level of some professional photographers.
We see a lot of these sort of apps on mobile, like the ones by Lightricks come to mind, but hardly any on the desktop anymore. At $25 for Luminar AI + a bunch of their add-ons is a pretty solid deal for anyone who wants that experience.

This is the lowest price I've seen for either Luminar 4 or Luminar AI! I quite like using these as file-based photo organizers and the quick editing is neat. Unfortunately each successive version doesn't support importing the catalog from the last. They don't want to support edits -- but this also affects importing favorited photos. And while the software works reasonably well the people who run their support forums never acknowledge any problems and steamroll people with feedback. Luminar 3 doesn't work on macOS Big Sur, so expect to buy a new version every year.

Sure, Neo is coming out and there's a significant pre-order discount ending today ($44). And yes, they've announced importing of old catalogs finally. But not on launch.
