This was a front page deal back in October. Seems like a decent deal if it fits your use scenario. Here's the other link so you can view the comments.

For how long they continue to sell mediocre specs for premium price in the name of quality machine and stupid will continue to buy.
They sell 8GB ram for $700-800 that's BS.

Who in their god damn right minds buys a new laptop with 8gb of ram? It's an out of date computer you'll regret buying should it be used for anything other than 1 application at a time.

You're wrong. 8GB of RAM is sufficient for WAY MORE than one window open. People are getting RAM crazy these days without even exploring the real demands of the system.

Surface laptops were great when they were first introduced. Nothing like them except from Apple. Now they are just overpriced, under-spec devices.

You can do better with current gen CPUs OLED screens, more storage and RAM like the Asus Zenbook 13 OLED edition, some Acer and MSI models in this thin and light catagory.

I agree 💯!

I've been working with multiple machines for years and yes the majority of my devices have 12 or more gigabytes... But I have signed with four and I do not understand what people are talking about with eight not being good enough. I'm not going to say I'm a super heavy user, but I program, app development, edit videos and a whole host of database and systems administration... When I hear people talking like this, their respect whores who actually do not use computers for anything other than browsing. They're so calling the Weeds on spec yet they're not doing any real world money making work.
