Great deal. I just bought one for $399 a month ago. My efforts with Amazon chat to get a price adjustment aren't working.

Just return it, it should be eligible out to 31 January. That's what I did.

Great post Op, TU and reppped! I have owned the full size version of this for about a year now, what an awesome setup. The fact that when you plug it into your computer, it doesn't do anything until you go into the board and tell it to either connect as a USB transfer, firmware update, or as a sound card to directly connect with your DAW is so professional! I've owned line6 equipment and love them too, but for the price this is in my opinion the best thing out there today for everyday guitarists. The full pedal board is a tank, fully made out of metal. This one is much lighter and made out of plastic at the bottom. For normal people that's fine, I would not gig with this.

You would not gig with this? Too heavy? Not enough flexibility? Seems like a good 'all-in-one' kind of unit. I've been looking for a good all-in-one kind of unit that I can use for electric, acoustic and also bass. Just saw one less-than-glowing review regarding using this for bass guitars though...

The only reason I said I wouldn't gig with this is because it has a plastic bottom, my pedal board version of this is solid steel and is designed for gigging. If you are gentle, no problem at all. I am the most clumsy further mucker I know so I would not trust myself. I dabble in bass and it has some settings. That sound really good, I have a chorus driven one that sounds very much like Tool. Since Amazon has an incredible return policy, there's literally no risk to you. Just buy it.

LOL for the record, 99% of the items I say that about and buy off Amazon never get returned so this is probably going to be a one-way ticket hahaha.

I have a Boss MS-50G right now and just ordered a Ditto Looper. I've always wanted to get something with a pedal though. $300 just feels steep and hard to justify when I don't really play much. The G1XN Four is more my budget but I'm sure it's peanuts compared to this unit lol.

EDIT: I just read this has a looper... Embarrassment How many seconds/minutes can it do? Maybe I will get this, cancel the Ditto Looper, and then sell the MS-50G hahaha

I have a Boss Katana Head btw. Wonder how this will work in conjunction. I just noticed the shipping estimate is 1-2 months out :T

Timing is everything... literally just ordered one of these used to compare to a Line6 HX Stomp I have.

Line6 has a lot more variety of effects and amps, including polyphonic whammy, and a ton more effect models, and many sound good with bass. You can also connect 1-2 external switches depending on if you connect an expression, for example have an external switch for tap tempo and tuner functions so you still have 3 of the LED switches for scene changes. You can also get Helix Native plugin for $100 and a bigger user base of free patches available. I'm overall happy with the tones, but it is fairly easy to max out the DSP (and that applies to all the Helix based products).

MX5 trumps the Stomp with a built-in expression, touch screen (though I don't find the Helix UI too challenging), and 3 more effect blocks (11 vs 8). I'm thinking overall it'd be a superior product for bread-and-butter tones, though I've seen some comments it's not as good for high gain tones (not what I'd use it for).

If I were buying brand new it's hard to pass by on the MX5 as it packs a lot of blocks, expression, etc. into the most affordable modeler pedal. Even more so at this price.

Thanks for this info! I've got the Pod Go but it feels limited compared to even the 8 blocks on the stomp, but at the time of purchase it was all I needed. 11 would be very nice.

Bad news is the deal is now dead, the good news is at the new price you also get it delivered Monday (written on Friday) vs however long the other one was, it was out there a bit.

To me, it's still a tremendous value at 399. Using the touch screen to modify settings on the individual stomp boxes is so easy and satisfying. Wish they would have had this year and a half ago when I bought my headbrush pedal board. Clearly that is better but shelling out a grand sucked. Having the ability to switch multiple stomp boxes on or off via dedicated foot switches is a luxury that I can't now give up. But prior to having the pedalboard I would have jumped all over and been very happy with this. No I'm not getting paid for this lol
I know there are a bunch of line 6 fans like me on here so I'll say (agree with all) what somebody said above that there are definitely more in depth options with Line 6 (IMO) but the Firehawk is the equivalent price range and option set offering from Line 6 (or was last I checked). I owned one and I'll tell you right now there is absolutely no comparison between the two ( but Firehawk was already available for a long time before this one). I do love the Bluetooth receiver on the Firehawk though, I think every board should have that!

New to these. Do they provide similar capability to a modeling amp like a Katana or Spark? Or is it completely different?
