Good catch
They were $98 from Samsung directly about 2 weeks ago. I bought a couple for work. Great buy in this price range.

Everything I ordered from Samsumg.com is delayed by at least a month. I just cancelled my UR59 which was supposed be delivered on Nov 30th now moved to end of the year or beyond.

I have them and have used them for a gaming monitor and they work pretty well. Not specifically purchased as a gaming monitor but for the cost not bad at all. Asus had a 24 inch gaming monitor for like $149 that would be a good step-up if you wanted.

You have a link for the Asus?

I bought these 2 weeks ago from best buy at the same price. Did t realize it was such a deal. But I love them, great for office work. The frameless design makes the side by side dual monitor setup even nicer. Very sharp, bright monitors.

Do the 75hz and lack of Gsync make this bad for casual gaming? Don't think I'll game hardcore but I just got a PC with a 2060.

Debating if I should get this and return the ASUS TUF 24" with Gsync and higher hz?

Reviews mention it's quite bright. Different type of panel, different environment. Not apples to apples.

Mine said December 26th originally. They showed up Friday the 3rd. YMMV

It'd work fine but keep the Asus is my vote.

Might depend on what a person is viewing
A photo of a sunny fall landscape can look bright
Stalking a zombie at night might look sketchy.
The brightness of this LCD is really at the minimum.
That might be ok for a laptop
Personally I would like at least 350

I think you're barking up the wrong tree for a $110 monitor. And if anything it's the opposite for laptops: you want a brighter screen for something portable. For controlled lighting environments you can lower the brightness. My gaming PC monitor is 400 nits and I keep the brightness under 60%. I would care more about contrast for dark scenes than brightness. Also, color accuracy is better at lower brightness levels - look at Rtings calibration methods, they almost never involve max brightness.

But yeah, you're gonna have to look elsewhere or for at least an hdr400 rated monitor if that's what you want.
