Great deal for 64% merino wool light cushion crew socks, nice for hiking or daily wear. For the feel good factor, these socks "are crafted from excess yarn and packaging from previous seasons to reduce waste."

Deal is a one day REI deal.

For anyone who finds this deal with a search, here's my review. After the first few wears, these socks do NOT appear to be worth the price, even discounted this heavily. They are VERY thin on top (like no-show summer sock-liner thin...) I can literally see my skin through them in the right light. I expected them to be lighter weight than my Darn Tough boot socks, but they're much thinner than I even expected.

After one or two wears, the weave is already a mess. It's clear that the fibers have stretched out and probably won't return back to shape. My feet are thin, not bulky, and are on the lower end of the recommended size range, so the socks should not have stretched this way imo. They have also already pilled like crazy -- the same is not true of my Darn Tough socks.

It feels to me like these socks probably should be priced at $7/pair normally instead of whatever the retail price is. Here's my advice; stay far away from these socks and just save up for Darn Tough or Icebreaker or another one like those two -- less quality and higher quality is going to definitely win out in this case.

Your comment cannot be blank.

For what it's worth, 4-5 years ago I purchased Columbia merino socks to use up Kohls cash, and then 6 months later I decided I liked using them daily so much, I purchased Costco Kirkland merino socks. Most of the Columbia ones are still usable although they have clear signs of wear. I had to throw away all the Costco ones after 2-3 years of use.

For this price difference I think I'd rather try Rei than go with Kirkland again. No disagreement on the garish colors though..

First post is a home run....for my wife. A ground out for me as I wear a 13 - their "Large" is up to a 11.5 Mens. I can do those socks that go up to 12 but I'd be terrified to wear socks 1 and a half too small for my foot....unless someone else has wore these before and can speak to doing such Smilie

My wife is going to rack up

These are fairly fugly, and the Costco kirkland merino socks seems like a better deal. I believe they're 59% merino and 100% less ugly

This is the remix, which is when farm to feet used up their leftover yarns to reduce waste. Probably explains the weird colors. Still in for one just to try out the brand.

Wish these weren't like size 7-13, and had something more specified.

I'm like an 8.5 and the one size fits all ends up too small. The women's ones tend to be great but thinner.

I have one pair of F2F socks and although they fit toe-to-heel, they are incredibly tight width-wise at the toes. moreso than any other socks I have. I do have wide feet (not super-wide) but most socks are fine at the toe and I'm really liking Wigwam wool mix socks at the moment.
