My two year contract is up and I've found in the past that they don't really offer any promos to existing customers. Can another member of my household sign up and take advantage of the new customer promos while I cancel?

It's been a couple years, but my wife and I regularly switch account ownership to take advantage of Fios new customer offers and have had zero issues.

What is the easiest way to switch? Do you actually disconnect and reconnect with new accounts? Or do they just transfer the existing account to the other person?

You have to put in a cancellation for some future date, and IIRC you set up new service under the new name for the same date. Has to be a "new" account tho, can't just update the name on the current account

When switching acct to "new customer" do you have to go through the trouble of them coming to the house to "install"? Or do they just transfer it over digitally?

Got this similar deal earlier in the year for the gigabit internet. Ended up cancelling as optimum cut my bill basically in half for the year when i went to cancel with them. Speeds definitely better on Fios but not worth the price difference, will likely go back to them once my year ends.

FYI when i cancelled my Discovery plus account terminated but the one year of prime and Disney plus did not, I suppose thats YMMV but that was my experience.
