I use bitlocker whole disk encryption as a home user and that's only available in the pro version. I know about Truecrypt and Veracrypt, but I found unstable. The reason I use encryption is for warranty work. If my drive dies under warranty and I have to send it in for repair or replacement, the technician will have access to all my data. Bitlocker is not perfect, but it fits my use case perfectly.
