I received mine today from the last deal. It looks like something a tween would want on their gaming computer.

Also, I have a black wood desk and the mat looks charcoal. I wouldn't have bought it if I had a redo.

Im not a gamer but need a mouse pad for a glass desk. Is this recommended for a home office or should I get a smaller mouse pad? I can't think of a reason why I would want my keyboard sitting on top of the mouse pad?

I actually use this exact one for wfh setup and it's great way to keep your keyboard in place, have a large mousepad canvas, and protect your desk. I ended up getting another one for less than $3 w/free shipping (points+promo: EXTRAFIVE) 👍

to each their own. i originally had a leather desk mat for my wfh desk - i like the aesthetic and wanted both my keyboard and mouse to be on the same level/surface, since i prefer large mousepads and my keyboard would otherwise half sit on the mousepad and half on the desk.

the leather desk mat had too much friction for my mouse, so i switched to a desk pad like this one, and haven't looked back.

Some like the feeling of the softer mousepad that covers the entire area including keyboard. If you go down the deep rabbit hole of keyboards, you'll find some people think it helps the keyboard sound just a little better than having it on a glass surface which might reverberate the sound more than you want it to.

I bought this mouse pad on BF. It looks great and fit well on my desk. However, there's a tire rubber smell. I hope it'll go away in a few weeks.

After using big mousepads, i wont go back to small sized ones anymore. Like someone said a few posts up, you put the keyboard and mouse on it, which prevents the KB from moving around and at the same time , making your mouse movement area bigger, with no edge/lip between your kb and mouse.
