I bought this for my 75yr old mom for simplicity as someone bought her a giant Goumia digital one with lots of buttons from Costco. While I like the simplicity and compact-ness of the unit, the timer dial is a bit hard to turn especially if your hands are a bit greasy or wet already. Also, there is no precision to the timer and can be off by as much as about 2-3 min due to the vagueness of the timer.

Could she use her phone timer? Depending on phone (Most), she should be able to start timer with voice commands.

This is very very very very small.
That being said, if you live alone and dont have much countertop space and dont cook too often or too much each time, this would be a great deal at the price.

Don't do it! I hate when people say, "spend more on something else," but it might be warranted in this case. I got a small air fryer with analog controls a few black Fridays ago, and I never really liked using it. I thought air frying was kind of a hassle and the analog controls weren't "simple," they were inaccurate, and a 2 quart capacity is smaller than it sounds. I finally spent $50 on a big Gourmia from Costco at a freind's urging this summer, and I've already used it way more than the old one. I'm frugal but I have no regrets about that purchase.
