I've bought some of these sweaters from Jos A Bank in the past. These are pretty basic, thin sweaters, and the sizing can be all over the place. The fit is usually rather boxy, not slim at all. The cotton ones I bought in the past shrunk a lot. You get what you pay for.
I had the cotton quarter zip. It was really stretchy and never really held a shape very well. Quickly became a layer for yard work.
The Marino sweaters are decent. Not especially warm on their own but it will work as a little extra for a cold office or a layer under a jacket or coat.

Quickly became a layer for yard work! That says everything. I was wondering how good the yarn and weave could be at regular price of $55.
None of the code work now. They kept changing them right in front of me, more restrictive till virtually no codes gave discounts. Making me sick to the stomach even though they don't owe me anything.
I think I'm going to skip the whole thing. Says return shipping is free, but I've had so many problems with companies lately I never know what is going to happen next.
In this case I suspect I won't like the quality and they will honor the free return shipping. Still waste of time, and added stress to my life. Who knows what will happen next though. It's always worse than I'm thinking.

I purchased from them recently and the return process was super easy! I didn't have my receipt they tracked my order via email in the store. Bought 5 items of the same size and two fit well the other three were made by a blind person.
I bought a couple of these merino quarter-zips last week for the same price. They look OK. Super thin, though, with a very loose weave; nothing like the old JAB reserve quarter zips. Still, it's a $20 wool sweater ... can use as a base layer for skiing if nothing else.
I bought four of these a week ago (2 for $40) and got them to price match via chat yesterday.
They are thin but great for the office or for layering. They will not - on their own - keep you warm on a chilly evening out. You can be sure of that. I'm 6'2" but mostly legs, with a somewhat athletic build, and the XL fits me perfectly. The sweaters are a tad on the shorter side, but they simply look appropriately tailored when paired with slacks and a button up (which is what I wear to the office these months). Sleeves are surprisingly the right length for me, which is a huge plus. For reference, I normally wear 16-16.5 36/37 dress shirts (tailored fit if we're specifically talking Jos A Bank cuts). I will say that these fit my frame pretty well. They are not "boxy" at all since they have decent give/stretch and conform well to my shoulder and chest area without being loose in the midsection / stomach region.
Hopefully that helps some of you! At this price point, I feel really good about my purchase. I went ahead and got two more to give to my dad for Christmas yesterday, as they had a "Tuesday preview sale" in which these sweaters were $15 apiece then as well.

Get in touch with their support via chat and they might be able to make price adjustments for you. They did so for me without any qualms.

The sweater is 100% wool and you need a couple of % of either polyester or spandex for fabric to maintain its shape.

Some are, and the $20 mock neck is indeed machine washable in the details
