The same XB33 from Secondipity is listed at 59.99 on Amazon as "Used - Like New". Ordered one from there. It said there were 9 remaining at that time.
This is the same company that often sells refurbished Sony headphones for a good price on eBay. I've purchased Sony headphones and speakers from them before, and they have always been indistinguishable from brand new items, except for the packaging.

Seems to compare relatively well to the Motion Boom that was recently a frontpage deal at ~72$ on Amazon according to rtings. Seems like a strong consideration at 30$ for the shortcomings of dynamics/volume.
All of these Sony speakers seem to compare well to similar speakers from JBL and other brands. I think the the XB43 is a good deal if you want something bigger and louder. It just depends on your needs.
I have an older XB31 (the mid-sized speaker), and it's more than big enough for get togethers in my apartment. That said, the 43 is one of the best deals relative to MSRP.

Isn't this company basically Target clearance? Or is it depending on the product?
Last year I got some bed sheets from them and the UPS label shipper was Target

Liquidity Services (who owns Secondipity) is a large corporation that contracts to buy returned and overstock items from a number of large retailers, including Sony. I wouldn't be surprised if Target was one of their partners.
It appears that the XB23 is gone. The other speakers are available however. Unfortunately for me, the other ones are bigger than I want. I will just stick with the Monster Icon that I got from Sams. I think the XB23 as a significant step up from the Monster, but the SD effect got to it first. LOL
I bought an XB33 from this seller for $50 in Oct. Speaker was in good condition but some signs of use. Sound is great, especially after adjusting the equalizer in the app. Lights are a bonus.
The Sony BT speakers don't do so well according to Consumer Reports. The XG-500 is one of the lowest rated speakers.
The rtings comparison tool (thanks Chikn) rates these as similar to JBL's speaker selection. They don't take everything into account, but the price difference is also huge compared to a new JBL speaker. https://www.rtings.com/speaker/to...shold=0.01
