Nope. If you're really on a tight budget get the Walmart refurbs or go used. This Pentium processor and the display are gonna hurt.

Contrast this with Pentium Gold CPUs (positioned just above Pentium Silver) constructed from two, more capable i-series cores.
Knowing these CPUs is helpful because though they're all functional - all of them can run Windows - you'd probably do well to skip them all in favor of a 4-core i-series CPU like the i3-1125G4 system I recommended above when shopping for a basic Windows productivity PC. Otherwise, some of these lesser CPUs are fine choices for more lightweight operating systems like ChromeOS or certain distributions of Linux.

You only need to upgrade the ram.
But for this deal, the screen and cpu are the weakest link which you can't even upgrade.
The screen is 720p (a little nicer looking than a DVD's resolution) so it's fine for a YouTube video but if you do a movie night you may wish to use the HDMI port to connect to a high resolution T.V.

Passmark : 2684.
To put into perspective, I have an older dell latitude E7270 thin and light with an i5 6300u and it's Passmark is 3000 and I paid 250$ for that last year, used on eBay, of course. latitudes are known for being durable machines. But I'm not saying everyone go out and buy a refurbished former enterprise grade laptop unless your totally comfortable with that, but for this price and what you get, it's falling into that price point where you could get something older that was considered mid range or high end and still performs better.

If you get to buy windows OS alone is $110 and 8gb memory will make smooth and 256 HD plenty. Remember who wants to buy low price computers don't know much about it and the just surf the web, check emails, YouTube,read news and possible Netflix... the screen could be a little better like at list HD. Walmart have a better one for $100 more.
