This is a killer deal for a super fast gen 4 drive.... just return the enclosure for $35+tax back.
I dont even need it but for the price i impluse buy. Buy now think later.
Drive is about 215 plus tax. Damn...

Looks like you could use it with the cover off to clear the heat sink. Would be useful if you're transferring data to it from your old drive.

Checked Tom's Hardware review. That heat sink would not fit in my Asus MB, and they said it's not removable without risking damage to the ICs.

Also curious if you can return the enclosure. In the past when something is free amazon said I'd have to return everything or else I'd get $0 back for the free item. That said I'd be swapping the drive out so I can always use the enclosure for the drive I'm removing.

it doesn't matter how big the m.2 heatsink is, it depends on your motherboard layout. Many have dedicated room for the m.2 so nothing is over it and the heatsink can be as large as you need it to be. But I do agree, I don't trust ADATA anymore after their bait and switch crap they pulled on their old drives.

The drive itself is a very fast Gen 4 one, and yes the free enclosure won't work for it, but it will work great for replacing an existing NVME like I was planning on doing.

Seems the reviews I saw for it are great with no heat issues at all. Do you have a source or just making a random guess?

Ordered both items in the same cart and then told amazon to cancel the enclosure before it shipped. Cheap. 214.33 plus tax. Lol. Told you guys this was the cheapest nvme gen4 deal. These drives are top tier fast too.

Just guessing, but it's too early to say if I'm right or wrong as heat is insidious. The design of the heatsink doesn't look great, no matter what they claim. It would need airflow thru the conduits to best dissipate heat and that's unlikely to happen. Dissipation is all about exposed surface area but a lot of it is enclosed. That said, I could be talking out of my ass.

Did you cancel through the order page or did you chat? I tried it through the order page and the $40 credit for the enclosure was removed. At your price, I'm all in.
