$50 cheaper than previous front page deals. Also open box available from $1124.99. Qhd 120mhz panel. 8gb soldered.. the other 8gb replaceable up to 32gb making 40gb total ram. No extra drive slots though. Great deal, incredible processor.

If the RAM is soldered and fails, then the motherboard is rendered useless. If the laptop is under warranty, it will be replaced. If the warranty expired, you'll likely be buying a new laptop

How many cases you have seen where soldered Ram getting corrupted? Those hypothetical scenarios don't make much of a sense rather than idiotic arguments. Almost all premium 13 and 14 inch Ultrabooks, like XPS 13, ThinkPad X13, T14s, Carbon series, Nano series...all have fully soldered memory. As per your logic, those are even worse and nobody should buy them, right?

Weird that some 3050 laptops tend to beat the performance of this. I compared it against the inspiron 16 plus on notebookcheck and was surprised. I wonder how this compares to the inspiron 16 plus 3060 I'm currently using.

You read or understood those reviews incorrectly. There is not single RTX 3050 Laptop, even with its full 80W + 15W dynamic Boost implementation can even come to the performance of a lower powered RTX 3060. May be you should read those again. A Full powered RTX 3050, can't even beat the 45W-55W RTX 3060 in the Dell Inspiron 16 Plus.
And Please revisit that review again. Let me know where you're seeing that 3050 beating the RTX 3060 max-Q

Those laptops probably are thicker and of inferior materials. I rather have a bit less FPS in games, but with a screen of this quality.

It's a valid complaint on 8GB non-expandable laptops, but like you said not many need 32GB, and using an 8GB stick + 16 or 32GB stick won't be terrible.

I ordered one to try out. I almost bought the FHD model a few days ago when it was on sale, but this one is even cheaper. Even though it's 120Hz instead of the 144Hz I'll gladly take that hit for the added DCI-P3 gamut. Though, the M16 is $1150 at Best Buy as well and that 16:10 165Hz 500 Nit display is even better than this one.. But is that trade off between 14" with a 3060 worth it vs the 16" with a 3050ti... Ugh, decisions decisions..

I was looking at game performance fps not synthetic benchmarks. Maybe ryzen was holding it back vs 11th gen Intel H series? Fwiw it wasn't all games that it was ahead just ones that probably relied on cpu more.
