YMMV. I see this a lot in a lot of posts whenever equipment goes on sale. Personally fb mkt and cl are full of deranged folks trying to resell their stuff close to retail. I've seen more folks trying to sell $4500 used equipment for $4450 vs $1500 like you're claiming.

I own a gym. That's a great price.

Craigslist is dead in my area, but I did check marketplace. The closest I found was a bunch of decent bars for $180 and junk below that.

This is the closest Rogue bars I could find. 28mm bar with bearings. The cheapest is $560. For this price I'm willing to try the Tru Grit with easy returns to Walmart if it truly is bad.

what city do you live in where plentiful amounts of barbells are advertised on CL?

How many lbs can this hold? Is this better than this titan one that is rated for up to 1000 lbs for $80

I don't know much about this brand, but good specs for the price, anything you find used off CL is likely to be lower quality, nasty, or more expensive.

Makes me nervous they don't list a max load, but the PSI is very high at this price point, good bearings, etc. I like black zinc bars but know that the coating may be cheap at this price point and may wear away over time.

I don't have this bar, but I do have several things from Titan fitness. It's all functional, but nothing has ever looked as good as their product pictures (I've gotten burrs or paint defects on everything I've ordered so far). They're like the fast food of fitness with their advertising.

The Titan has Brass bushings, the Tru grit has needle bearings.
This might help.

Been shopping these for weeks, this looks to be on par with the $180-$200 bars I've almost bought.

I've used the same crappy CAP bar for 17 years and it's bent and rusted and still limping along, so it's long overdue. Sure, a Cerakote bearing bar for $300 is tempting, but at this point, these simpler bushing bars aren't rocket science (edit: the description says bearings, which is extremely rare at this price). Glad to see the Covid tax slowly going away. In for one!!

Note: 28mm with no center knurling is more common for Oly lifting bars, while powerlifting bars are usually a bit thicker (30-31mm) with center knurling. This is probably more of a Jack-of-all-trades hybrid bar. Exactly what I need. Just put some athletic tape in the middle for close grip BP or extra friction on squats.

Wow, score Wink

I just made the assumption for this price that it would be bushings. Cheapest bearing bar I've ever seen, hands down.

What a confusing listing. The Tru Grit website states that it's single knurl mark, the Walmart description doesn't seem to say, and the picture suggests dual. If it is single, I don't know whether it will be IPF or Olympic, since it calls itself a power bar but comes in an Olympic diameter. The description says both bronze bushing and needle bearings. The description says center knurl, but the pictures show none. It's a tempting price point, but I'm really not sure what will show up at my door.
